We were refused service. We are a family of 6. We have been coming for over 25 years. But recently with the Hillstone name change, their new policy is not to seat parties over 4, even at separate tables. I called customer service in Cali and they verified that this is their new policy. Such a shame because we loved their food and were patrons for so long! We will go other places where there are more family-friendly policies and service.

The valet greeter was amazing. He was very kind and professional. I was then greeted by Steven at the bar who practiced safety within COVID 19 and was very professional. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. All servers had on mask and it was great to see them practicing safe distancing. The food is always delicious and tasty. One of my favorite restaurants.

Food is great, service and restaurant's phone policies drag this down. Not sure when the name changed from Houston's to Hillstone, but along with the name change seems to be a new policy of no phones in the dining room. Came here during a weekday business lunch, so the no phone policy was a no go for me. If you get a call that you need to take, and you do take it, they will hand you a card telling you to get off your phone pronto. Not sure why I would come here again when there are so many restaurants with great food, great service, and great adaptability to the times we are in

Quality of food at the restaurant has vastly improved. The off-the-menu offering of a Central European style pork loin chop with mustard sauce and red cabbage for the Oktoberfest season was insanely good. Likewise the classic Hawaiian style ribeye was tender and moist and a newer addition of rotisserie chicken had a brilliant succulence. Staff was on point and well trained. Everything went exceedingly well.

We called ahead of time and asked about wait time. They said no problem we can work you in but when we got their they said you need a reservation. I already knew that, but when the hostess said “oh, no problem..” we came.. several open tables on a Thursday for lunch and we still had to wait 35 min... we love Houston’s so we stayed for the spinach dip. Finally got seated but it took more than 5 min to get our drink order. Waitress brought more chips without asking finally at last minute. Food is fabulous but the service is a little slow. Border line you having to ask for a refill on water. You can eat here but you definitely need a reservation. They should be slightly more flexible though. We were not told of the specials yet we over heard the other table next to us get greeted with the specials. Seems it depends on your server. It was an OK experience but that is what sets it apart from other places. It’s hit or miss sadly.
