If I could give negative stars I would!!! An absolutely disgraceful example of the medical field!! As an emergency medic in the industry, I have to say this “Emergency Room” is not even qualified to be called a joke!! This place is deplorable and should be closed and restaffed with physicians who pride themselves in patient care!! My wife suffers from progressive stage lupus and during our vacation had to come here for treatment. The “doctor” a term I’m using extremely loose and hazardously, was rude, critical, and extremely unprofessional!! Even when I tried to explain the treatment that would be most beneficial to my wife this woman (the doctor) had the audacity to laugh in my wife’s face and degrade her. If you cherish your loved ones, regardless how dire, take them anywhere but here!! You’d do them a service to take them to a veterinarian office!! This place is totally reprehensible and deserves to be closed down permanently!!

I have always had exceptional services from LeConte Medical Center in other departments! With that being said,, the emergency room services that I experienced would get this hospital shut down immediately! Bad day for all, but blatant routine errors made this a three ring circus! Masks were not mandated to be worn with a number of patients without them, no staff to assess the critical needs of those coming in to address those in a high emergency status, nurses not being able to locate the E R physician for at least an hour! Six hours later, a family practitioner had to step up and act as primary physician! Most of the staff were rude and nonprofessional, but after seeing how things were operating behind the scenes, I understood! Without getting into my particular needs, I sat for six hours in excruciating pain with no one attending me even after I was in a room! They could have helped me had they bothered to come in to see me! Discharge nurse Mary was a scene out of a horror movie with her releasing me after taking my blood pressure of 213 over 84! Maybe that is acceptable, but I would have thought she might have checked on that! They had to be contacted three times after they assured my prescriptions were filled to get that successfully accomplished! II will never return to LeConte for Emergency Room Services! You would die before they would attend to you. Better taking chances on driving an hour to Maryville, or Knoxville! I will say that Tennessee has the most awesome medical services, but Sevierville LeConte needs to clean this department up! The people in Sevier County deserves competent and caring emergency services! This one department gives LeConte Hospital a most embarrassing and terrible reputation! Thank you!

Went to ER around 1:30 am. The staff who check people in were not wearing masks over their noses. Some weren’t wearing them at all, until someone approached them. They were pretty unconcerned with those who were waiting to be seen. I’ve been in many emergency rooms in my life, and have never seen less interest in the patients. Not a lot of common courtesy in the waiting area or triage. It felt as if they considered us an interruption to their evening, rather than the reason they were there. . LeConte might want to do some training, including emphasizing how to wear a mask. Doctors and nurses who treated my husband were good. The facility Itself does not seem up to par. If you can go to your doctor or an urgent care office, do it.

The BEST experience I've ever had at any medical facility in my life. Seriously! I was scared because of all the bad reviews but now see the problem probably wasn't LeConte but the people reviewing it. I went in for what I was almost certain was appendicitis. The total wait before seeing a physician(lobby, triage, blood, urine, etc) could be considered long but I'm an adult, who's lived in reality my whole life, and who chose to go there, so, I understand situations like that are complicated and take time. Once we spoke and tests came back they agreed it was appendicitis. Immediately got me checked in, scheduled for surgery, and on the wait list for a bed upstairs. Had successful surgery the next morning.nThe entire staff was consistently attentive, communicative, and had shockingly positive attitudes, even though they seemed to be short-handed. While also, thankfully, not being overly chatty or intrusive. Upon reading other reviews and making note of one doctor's shock at how calm I was, even in intense pain, I'm wondering if maybe I just need far less attention than most people. Most of these low reviews just seem to be people needing to be plaqated by whomever may be around them.nThe facilities were clean and modern and most of the time I forgot I was in a hospital and felt like I was in a high-end hotel. I was discharged same day with scripts and notes for work. Frankly, the ONLY bad part of my whole visit was having to wait in the lobby with loud and obnoxious people.
