Carbon Health Covid-19 Testing Center

Super fast COVID test results!! Carbon Health is the place to go if you're planning on traveling to Hawaii without having to quarantine the first 14 days. They're not cheap ($135 per test) but if you can swing it, the price is worth the peace of mind if you're under a time crunch. They even have an app that helps make the process run very smoothly.

Very nice staff. Plenty of parking for patients. Got my results faster than expected.

I took the covid test on Tuesday the 24th, and they said that I would get the test today by 2pm (if your appointment is before noon, you should get test results by 9am the next day). It is 7pm on the 25th and I do not have test results in the app. I'm disappointed for paying so much, and them not delivering. I specifically chose them for the fast turnaround time to avoid issues with Thanksgiving closure.nnIn their defense, the test process itself was very efficient - took only 10 minutes total (no wait time, 5 min to check in, and 5 min for them to confirm identity and swab). Staff was friendly.nnI'm sure all labs are bogged down with holiday testing. If you're going to have to wait anyways, consider going somewhere else to pay less money.

Disorganized scheduling system for COVID test.nnCarbon bot canceled my self-scheduled appointment for 11/23/2020, canceled by someone named Leilani. When I went to visit in person to discuss why my appointment had been canceled, there was no explanation. Sydney, a staff member said that I could come in on Tuesday at 1pm. When I visited on Tuesday, the staff said I was not able to go through with the test because Sydney never added me into the system for an appointment, and that if I did not get a text, that means I had no appointment. I asked if I could be added into the system for another day, and they said no, and that the booking process was self-scheduled online.nnIn the end, I went with OneMedical (free most likely with any insurance, and even so wouldn't be full out-of-pocket), which not only accepts my insurance, but has a much more seamless process, with no random cancellations, quick shallow nose-swab process (1 minute), a waiting lobby, and much friendlier UI to get schedule & results.

Carbon health keeps sending their people to local businesses to use the restroom when they have restrooms onsite and have been told at least 3 times by local businesses not to do this. This puts local businesses and customers in great danger. Very irresponsible.
