Grassroots Farms Vintage Venue hosted an incredible ceremony and reception for us! Miki and her team went above and beyond to make the entire process 100% stress-free and easy for us. They did EVERYTHING. She even hand-poured honey from their bee farm into little jars for gifts for our guests. I can not recommend this venue and team enough. They made our big day an absolute dream.

I never ever leave a bad review but was honestly shocked to be treated this way by a local business. We would have loved to use someone local. But I’m putting this out here in hopes that other girls don’t have similar issues we had. The whole time dealing with miki I never felt prioritized or important. Planning a wedding should be the most fun but miki put a damper on it for us. Luckily we found out what doing business with her is like early on. But I just recently found out that a family friend also had a bad experience with miki. I feel as though they were taken advantage of, treated poorly, are now out of a thousand dollars & ruined wedding plans only a month before their big day. I just don’t understand- especially in a small town, that she thinks the way she is conducting business & keeping peoples money is okay in any way. I highly recommend finding someone who is eager to help you, actually wants to do their job, & will prioritize your time & not just your money. We decided to use Southwind hills & they have been AMAZING at taking care of us & treating us like royalty. My mom made a more in depth review of what we went through below.

This year was particularly difficult to have a wedding, but Miki made our day perfect! After having to reschedule due to the virus, Miki was understanding, compassionate, and provided us with an absolute beautiful wedding! All of our guests kept saying how amazing the venue was and how much they loved our wedding!

Grassroots Vintage was the PERFECT venue for our wedding. Miki custom made a backdrop for us and helped with every step along the way. You don’t have to hire a wedding planner with Miki; she is very detail oriented and has an amazing ability to go above and beyond on your day.

I am SO disappointed that Miki chose to keep the $1300 deposit that I put down to hold the date for my daughters wedding. I saved for years to pay for this. And we waited weeks to have our first meeting with Miki only to have her cancel the appt at 11:20pm the night before the meeting. I would’ve understood keeping the deposit if I had been the one to cancel with such short notice. Yes she offered to reschedule but it was another 1-2 weeks away. I never signed her contract agreeing to her terms of non refundable deposit. I feel like it was a very poor choice on her part ethically. Why not just apologize & return the money? No harm no foul & still have a happy customer? You may want to do a little research prior to making your choice & make sure you find someone who is easy to access & offers a clear means of communication. And most importantly that they don’t make you feel like they’re too busy to give you the time & attention you’ll want when planning your big day. Also make sure you read her contract because she states that no one is allowed to say anything negative about her or she can sue you for $20,000. She was very wrong to have kept my money & have provided absolutely no services as well as showing a complete lack of respect for our time by cancelling very last minute. Obviously she thinks only her time is all that’s valuable. I am a very sad & upset customer. I’d also like to add that our wedding is an entire year away in June 2021. She will undoubtedly rebook that. Yet I’m penalized harshly for wanting better service. Nope sorry you don’t like how I do things I’m keeping all your money.
