The associate, Gail, was very friendly to the current customers within the store. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive this same courtesy. She didn’t speak to me. At one point, we ended up being the only people in the store and she didn’t ask if I needed any assistance. When I walked to the counter to check out, she didn’t say anything to me then. She just grabbed my items and started ringing them up. Seeing as I was the only black person in the store, I can’t help but to wonder what physically made me look different from the other customers to deserve this treatment...? The only thing I could come up with was my skin color. I suggest teaching Gail more about customer service. At the end of the day, my money is green like everyone else’s. I will not be returning to the store again.

Employees were very helpful to each person I saw in the store. Despite having ethnically diverse backgrounds all associates were appropriate. Had a customer been disrespectful I would have been ok w the cashier not speaking to them. I know exactly zero people that work there, but highly doubt any of them have an agenda as previously written. This post is in direct response to the passive aggresive comment attacking an associate publicly for what may have been a bad moment for that associate, or just maybe they were responding in kind to an equally socially disrespectful customer w an obvious agenda. That particular post was intended to incite negative feelings on a specific employee. So I do hope that intentionally malicious post is removed for unquestionably trying to cause harm or negative consequences on an employee.
