The Chimes

When I think of Louisiana cuisine, this restaurant is what I envision. Delicious and fresh food served hot. Unbelievable amount of beers on tap. Seriously, it's an insane amount. Service was great. We showed up at 1100 on a weekday, was seated immediately with hardly anyone else there. At 1200, the place was packed! There's a reason, the food is dynamite!

Had the fried alligator on the appetizer menu and it was VERY good! Nice portion and the fries were good.nWas trying to be served upstairs and sat there over 5 minutes but no one acknowledged me so i got my food to go. Was my 1st time in Louisiana.

I actually love chimes but not this location. Surprisingly they’re chicken Alfredo is way different then the other locations. It was gross. But they’re roll (bread) that comes with it is better then other locations.

This was one of the only restaurants open and with dine in at 9:30pm! We ate here two nights in a row. Had great seafood perdu, hamburgers, salmon salad, and Chimes club sandwiches. The works fries and the crawfish Mac were amazing too. Would recommend this place to everyone!

From their extensive draft beer menu to the stately wood panelled ambiance, from their timeless, traditional Louisiana recipes to their huge, new rooftop looking out over LSU'S north gate, the Chimes only reinforces itself as Baton Rouge's Best Restaurant and Bar with their newest expsnsion. NOWHERE in town has a better atmosphere.nnIt is simply the best.
