First of all let me start off by saying they only guarantee their turtles for 7 DAYS. Bought a turtle for my daughter and it died the 7th DAY> Imagine the irony in that! So now we are out the cost plus shipping and my daughter now has a broken heart. PLUS i did read that it is illegal to sell or ship an eastern musk turtle less than 4 inches and the one that was sent was about the size of a quarter. Not sure how they are getting away with this. I think i will contact the Better Business Bureau and find out. This is a DISGUSTING company and should be shut down ASAP.

I paid extra for the heating pack, hydration pack, and the food pack. They arrived with no water (these are aquatic turtles), with just some papering, no heat pack, and certainly no food for them to have on their journey. They were as cold as ice. They are doing well now thank God. I was worried they were not going to survive. The box did not have any warning for UPS that a live animal was present, therefore leading UPS to leave the box propped up outside my door, with not even a knock. Not a good experience for the amount of money I paid.

Received a beautiful and healthy western painted turtle today! I ordered him Tuesday, he shipped the following day on Wednesday night, and I received him on Friday early afternoon. I opted for for the $39 “turtle and tortoise shipping.” I feel that a lot of the negative reviews on here may be due to folks not paying for the appropriate shipping. If you opt for standard shipping, you’re not doing the right thing. With that said, I also don’t think the company should offer standard shipping. They should force the “turtle and tortoise shipping” for all live purchases to ensure the turtles arrive safe and sound as mine did.nnRegarding the customer service number I called to ask which breed was smallest at maturity prior to my purchase, the girl answered right away but did seem annoyed by having to answer my very simple question. I wouldn’t have needed to “trouble” her had Robert Moore simply answered my email instead of just sending me his automated “call the 800 number, sorry I can’t help you” reply. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.nnI’m giving them 5 stars because of the fast shipping and because I love my new little baby turtle! He arrived with two lil free food samples, one of which isn’t labeled so I have no way of knowing what it is. I plan to call the 800 number to find out.nnMy advice, order just one turtle at a time and pay for the $39 expedited shipping.

First turtle appeared healthy at first, but died 9 days later. Refund was issued. Second turtle turned 2 months old today. So far so good. Overnight shipping and cooling packs should be mandatory and not optional.

This location is only a call center. You cannot come here to get a turtle.nnOnline, they nickle and dime you for things that should already come with the purchase of your turtle being shipped like a cooling pack and some food.
