Had my husbands 40th bday here and it was a blast to say the least. The manager David was in good communication with me upon setting up all the details prior to the party which is SO important when your trying to get info on a party. So that first hand set them apart from other places. The music was SO good. Had a good mixture of everything but mainly consistent with hip hop and r&b. Live singer was AMAZING! The band was great, the DJ was great and they had a drummer with the DJ that was sick! Our waitress was super sweet, nice and very energetic. She had a good time with us and was very communicative with me about everything. This place is PERFECT to celebrate a birthday. They do a great job really making that person feel special. Thank you all for your hard work, it's much appreciate. Highly recommend.
Waiting at the Miami International Airport while I attempted to visit the Avianca VIP lounge. I was told they were at capacity and to wait closer to my boarding time. The amount of time we were allotted to stay was 4 hours at the lounge and the woman at the front desk told us to go back an hour before our flight time. This was ridiculous as we had planned to have a relaxing time to spend in the lounge before our flight. I visited the lounge again an hour later and before I even entered the doors the woman shouted “NO!” at me. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEnnI proceeded in asking if we can enter as we have watched many people leave the lounge. She claimed that they were still at capacity and that only business class could enter. I have signed and paid for a credit card with these additional benefits to enter the lounge and this woman was withholding that from me because I was not business class. As I was walking out a customer from the lounge was leaving and overheard our conversation. She told us that she spoke the same way to her and did not allow her to enter until 2 hours before her flight. As she came down, she told us that the lounge was HALF EMPTY! This does not sound like capacity to me and this woman is power tripping all the clients who are not business class and withholding our right to enter. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE and gives a bad name to Avianca AND Miami International Airport - MIA
Good service. Comfortable seating. Good food selection but it could be enhanced with the addition of fruits, yogurts, and natural juices. Great alcohol, coffee, and soda selection. The area could benefit from a renovation. Overall, a good VIP lounge to relax before flights.
Was OK but nothing special. Very busy which I didn't expect. Even had to wait for a bit for a spot (for one) to sit down. Food was fine. Soup was good. Nice choice of beverages including a beer which hit the spot. Space clean and kept tidy as people moved through. Food changed up and kept fresh regularly (ie not sitting there for long periods) Cost was included in my ticket cost but I am unsure whether I would pay outright for use in future.
It wasn't the most pleasant experience entering the lounge as the front staff at the entrance showed a little attitude when she had to process the payment twice. Other than that, the staff in the lounge were welcoming & helpful. Food & drink selection was good and I enjoyed my time in the lounge.nnOn my way out of the lounge, I left my brand new airpods pro behind by mistake but thanks to the staff in the lounge, I was able to retrieve them through lost & found at the airport. Initially, it was very difficult to get in touch with this lounge as the number on Google was wrong; I had to call numerous times Avianca International support line as well as Miami airport to be finally in touch with someone from the lounge.
