Village Wines

Really disappointed in the experience that we had here. First off, they charge a $12 corkage fee for EACH bottle of wine that you have opened and drink while there. This is for their own wines that you are already buying from the menu.. not outside bottles brought in. So add $12 to each bottle of wine you plan on buying and drinking there. Service was extremely slow although we were one of the only groups there and at one point, one of the bottles we ordered never was brought to us and no staff to be found. So after about 30 minutes of empty glasses, one from our group went to go find the waitress and she said she would be right over. When we tried to then order 2 bottles instead of one (for our large group) because we had been out of wine for a while now, she told us they were closing in 45 minutes so she would only bring us one. After clarifying that we had ordered another bottle earlier that was never brought over.. and for a large group, it makes zero sense why she was refusing to bring us two bottles. She argued about it for a minute and then finally brought us over the second bottle a few minutes later. And then after another 15 minutes, another server came over to ask for last call orders. So either the other waitress was new and didn’t understand that last call had not happened yet or she was just uninterested in doing her job while there was another 45 minutes of being open. This place is extremely over priced and the staff was very unwelcoming during our time there. We did enjoy the decor and set up of the restaurant.

Had a great lunch today. Excellent service to go with the terrific food. Wine was great on a rainy day too. They take covid seriously and the place is spotless. If I had to find a negative thing to say, it was that we got there right at noon when they opened and it was a battle to find a parking space. Terrific restaurant.

Yummy bites, amazing wine and a great vibe! The staff is always friendly and we loved poking fun at our waiter for the music.nnI think the appetizers and shareable plates are definitely their strongest food options. We ordered salads last time that were just okay. Their three dip plate, however, was amazing!

Watch out for the bait and switch on the nachos. Menu says $12. Server asks if we want a half order or a full order. Ordered a full one- bill comes later ...$24 for an average plate of nachos. Ummm.. have you ever had $24 nachos? At least state real prices on menu. Also, we asked about happy hour prices.. sorry-theirs starts at 8...that’s a new one. Feel duped by Village Wines.
