Chez Boet French Restaurant

I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. They were nice enough to accommodate us without a reservation. Have dined here a few times over the years and always enjoy the food and the ambiance. The owners are every bit as charming as many reviewers have noted. While no restaurant can shine every time all the time, we agree with all of the excellent reviews about food and ambience.nnWe gave it 3 stars this time because we were astonished to see that none of the servers wore masks or practiced any level of social distancing. We had to put our hands up several times to keep our server from advancing too closely, a difficult thing for a server trying to offer good service in a restaurant that was almost fully committed indoors, even with a mask.nnCovid rates remain high in South Florida where the county extended its mandate on the wearing of masks and social distancing protocols. These servers are exposed to hundreds of patrons on a given weekend night, with no protection, and in turn, potentially exposing others. We felt unsafe and cannot patronize any restaurant that won’t encourage the minimum for its employees, or it’s patrons as they arrive and depart the restaurant.nnDon’t mean to be harsh at all and regret having to write this review but for some, if not many, a rare nice meal out in this pandemic time could be the last. No experience can be worth that.

One of our favorite French restaurants. Fine cuisine. Great wine list. Our favorite waiter, Thierry. Often have excellent live music. Best Napoleon for dessert. Charming owner.

Always excellent attentive service and the finest quality food at a reasonable price! We frequent this place and thoroughly enjoy it every time!

Being a person from France myself, I can tell you right now that this food is anything but authentic French cuisine. The fondue is not French at all and is missing very very essential different cheeses that make a French fondue taste right. Secondly the bouillabaisse was pitiful and to call it a bouillabaisse is an insult to my culture. The steak was good and was written as being a wagyu steak but was definitely not Wagyu. The staff is friendly but unprofessional and do not wear masks. If you want to eat real great French food go to the restaurant in front of this one called “Bleu Provence” you will definitely not be disappointed it is excellent and authentic French cuisine.

No masks , waiters went table to table with no masks . I guess it their choice but I won’t return . Food was good but should be more careful for your customersnAnd staff .
