Long Valley Solar Shades & Window Treatments

Extremely disappointed in how they acted towards my friend, I was looking forward to getting some solar shades put into our home but after the attitude they had with her and taking private pictures of her home I will not be using this company!nI like to stay local but in this case I shall hire out of Boise. I would not feel comfortable having them in my home taking pictures without my knowledge.

Chris/Jill took pictures of every room of my home without asking and posted them all over social media. When installing, They screamed at me for their extreme fears of Covid and calling my child a germ bag for just being in our home. They tried to make me leave my own home while they installed and when I refused they screamed at me for not trusting them. A month later, pictures of my home were all over social media without permission. A total Invasion of privacy! The pictures were not just if they windows but full rooms and family details. Very unprofessional.I had to leave a voicemail/text to let them know they needed to delete all the pictures of my home. They never responded or apologized for their illegal and disrespectful behavior. I would not recommend using this company.

Not often am I compelled to write a review good or bad, but there are times when you just have to mention your experience for others to know. My wife contacted Long Valley Solar Shades and spoke to Chris. We were looking to match a couple of blinds in a house we just purchased. The previous owner told us they had used Long Valley Solar Shades and had been satisfied with their service. When my wife was setting up the appointment Chris stated that he requires his customers to wear a mask. I called Chris back thinking we were mistaken about him requiring his customers to wear a mask in their own home. Instead of explaining his policy, he effectively chastised me and said if I didn't like it I could take my business elsewhere. I explained that I wasn't looking to go elsewhere only to make sure I understood his policy because I wasn't fully comfortable being made to wear a mask in my own home but that I would if he felt that strongly about it. I explained that I have several businesses of my own and understand the difficulty of keeping customers happy and that I look forward to having his staff come out to do our job. He said ok. He then called back several minutes later and told me that he wouldn't do our job. In my many years in business and being a consumer I've never been treated with the level of disrespect that I experienced today. I'm sure they do fine work, I wouldn't know. I pray that Chris finds some peace in the challenges that face all businesses in today's culture.
