Staff is wonderful but they are overworked so they are unable to give accurate diagnosis which can/could cause medication conflicts which could lead to adverse affects especially if you need real help. Patients are mainly subjected to watching TV most of the time. You aren’t told that much about your medications or stay or anything like that unless you continually bother the nurses to understand the process here. This hospital system is broken. It’s not the nurses fault or the psychiatrists fault but the system itself within this hospital. I’d suggest getting more social workers & counselors for this facility so people can get real help & accurate diagnosis, just more staff in general. Simply because the wrong diagnosis can be deathly depending on medications that you are prescribed & a waste of time and money. Also you will have a roommate during your stay here & depending on what their mental health issue, this is dangerous. The things I’ve seen & experienced here are extremely sad considering that people come here to get real help & instead, they are medicated & come out like zombies.

This hospital is the worst around here. If you love somebody don't ever send them here. They are always for the longest stays possible. My husband is completely fine and they refuse to release him cause they are treating him like and object instead of a person. To them all he is is a paycheck. He has a family and is ready to be home. The doctor hw has is completely horrible.

Don't send anyone you care about here. Staff does not care about the patients. I was a patient here this past summer for 6 days. I became so dehydrated that i was having seizures and needed to be rushed to the hospital. As this was happening one of the nurses would just come to my room to tell me to stop crying because i was triggering other patients. They drew labs and didn't tell me the results even though my labs showed that my blood sugar was low (likely why i dehydrated so quickly). I left this place with more trauma than i went in with. Its been over 6 months and i still have nightmares about this place.

I was excited to interview to work here. The staff was passive and rude. Instead of being assertive and professional, explaining they preferred to skip a handshake due to COVID-19, they shook my hand daintily and acted repulsed that I expected to shake their hand. I was not asked any questions or provided any the chance to explain anything throughout my interview, as my resume was outlined with time frames. I was told I would not like the population I would be working with and to rethink this. I did inquire if there was a shift differential and/or hazard pay when provided the chance, but not without being met with annoyance and dismay. I was then dismissed from their office abruptly.

I was here for 6 days and only talked to the doctor/psychiatrist ONCE. You’re supposed to talk to them everyday. This place was not helpful at all. The staff was very rude, with the exception of a few, and they acted like they didn’t care. It felt like a prison. They have hand soap that you have to use for showering. They would only allow me 3 outfits even though they knew they were keeping me longer. I would never go back. Ever.
