Suffolk Heart Group

I never write reviews, but I feel like I absolutely must. My mother recently had a heart attack and we were told to schedule her follow up at Suffolk Heart Group in Bay Shore and it was the worst decision we made. This office is an absolute mess. We can’t think of one positive thing to say. From the completely rude and unprofessional staff at the entrance to the mediocre experience with the doctor, we left feeling completely let down. The ladies at the front desk were rude, cold, and disorganized, but we thought maybe they were just having a bad day - according to the reviews, though, seems like a common experience! We were hoping once we were in the exam room things would be better, but the young girl who did the EKG was the same girl from the front desk. Fingers crossed once the doctor came in, it would be different... unfortunately it wasn’t. Dr. Bishop was also cold and dry and was, seemingly, trying to get us out of there as fast as possible. People going through a really scary and vulnerable time in their lives go to this office and they should be met with some sort of reassurance, warmth, patience, and encouragement, but that is the opposite of what you’ll get here. We will absolutely be looking for a new cardiologist.

They are the worst primarily because it is difficult to get someone on the phone to even make an appointment or cancel one. You're on hold for at least 20 minutes. It's ridiculous. So a review of the actual care can't be made when you can't even get through to get an appointment.

Dr. Deutsch is great but his receptionists are just plain rude. Especially the girl who schedules appointments. She sounds extremely annoyed that she has to actually speak to people, doesn’t use even basic manners, no “thanks” no “your welcome” not even a “goodbye” just hangs up the phone. There’s plenty of other good cardiologists on Long Island with friendlier staff. Looks like it’s time to switch.

Just had stents put. In. Dr's D'Agate and Deutsch were excellent. During processor Dr Deutsch explained everything and was very reassuring. Both doctors make you feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend either of them to anyone who needs cardiologist. Thank you both.

Disgusted about this place! I got hunged up 4 times! Both english and spanish lines! They kept telling me to hold! So I got fustrated and I went to the office! They had me waiting there for 30 mins! Finally I went inside to the receptionist and they kept getting disrupted by the phones! Manager kept walking in telling them to answer the phones, rude I was talking to the receptionist! I couldn’t hear because of the phone ringing so loud! A lady in the room was talking very loud while confirming appointments. The a nurse walks in and hands a paper to the lady to book an appointment for a patient! Why couldn’t she ask someone else. Then the Doctor came and disrupted my conversation with the receptionist. Finally this place is disgustingly busy! I hate everything. I will finally switch Doctors
