Great experience at this hospital. Thank you Morgan RN and Dr Britton. Quick, kind, and painless. I would refer anyone to go here for an emergency.

I've been going to this hospital for different stuff for over twenty years now. I get sick a lot. They used to be fairly understaffed and had very old equipment. They've been steadily improving on that in the last... 10 years or so? There's an ER doc who works the night shift who is sometimes a bit rude and dismissive and I'm not sure of his name, but when I've continued to be polite and insistent he will usually look into whatever issue I'm having. Because of the limited tech/staff, if you have a major issue that can't be handled here, they will stabilize you and transport you to Cooperstown, Ellis, or Albany Med. There was a time when I was 15, in major abdominal pain, and they didn't give me any imaging, just gave a dose of hydro and sent me home. I tried to tough it out, but went to Ellis a few hours later. The wait time in the ER at Ellis was 9+ hours that day, for any patient they didn't think was at risk of dying imediatley. That is fairly normal at Ellis or Albany Med, so I generally don't complain about waiting half an hour to two hours at cobleskill for a UTI test or something like that. As to the doctors, a lot of the specialists there are not at cobleskill normally, their main offices are in Cooperstown. I've never had issues with any of them personally, and many of them that I've seen tend to remember who I am and be friendly, and listen to my concerns.

Appalled at the bedside manner of the doctor who saw my 86 year-old grandmother. “You do realize you have cancer, right?” My grandma has dementia and the family has decided not to put her through chemotherapy due to her age and physical factors. This “news” was delivered against our family’s wishes and without an ounce of sympathy or compassion.

Wonderful experience. Professional, kind nurse, doctor and support staff. Clean. Organized facility.

The nurses and doctor i had i enjoyed. However my experience was terrible. They tried 6 times to get an IV in me. Than the dr brought in annUltrasound to help them find a vein. That iv only asked long enough to get blood work. Than they needed my room for someone else and stuck me in this dingy shower room with bugs all over the floor. The phlebotomy were nasty. I wouldv given this a 0 rating if I didn't like the dr and my nurse.
