Carson's Woodside Tavern

Carson’s is our go to for casual fantastic food, with a great atmosphere. Particularly during the warmer months when we can sit out on the overlook. They are my 518 favorite for American cuisine. The French onion soup and Sunday night baby back ribs are to die for, but really you can’t go wrong with any menu item. Service is fine. Nothing outstanding but acceptable. Pricing is fair, locations need atmosphere great and again food wonderful!

Best fish fry around! Great beer selection and the wings are pretty good. The male waiter wasn't very attentive though.nnUpdate: Have tried several times (4 or 5 pre-covid) to go back but can never get less than an hour wait. Stopped trying.

Perfect evening! While waiting for a table, we got drinks at the outdoor bar and truly enjoyed the “compliance meatballs” (joked about spending a meal’s worth of money for a plate filled with just those meatballs.) Anyway, the sunset over the lake was spectacular and made the wait for the table worth it — once we were seated in the tent, the server was polite and attentive, the food was wonderful, and drinks were poured well. We were actually surprised at the final bill, impressed with the value for what we received. We will absolutely be back later in the season! Thanks for a great evening

Solid american pub food and a great environment. I have some very deep roots here when this place was cliffs which again was a solid american style quisine. Music can get loud at times, so would recommend finding out if live music is there before you go if that is or isn't your thing.

This place was awesome!! My husband and I went to visit friends here for a social distancing lunch and it great. We were outside and the view was beautiful. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend.
