An amazing oasis in the middle of bustling SeaTac - exactly where you’d never expect to find it. Going there is like being transported to an isolated getaway in the country - and you don’t have to drive too far to get there.nThe lodge is homey, yet luxurious. The staff are friendly, professional and accommodating.nThe only, slight quibble I could voice is that the food didn’t quite measure up to the rest of the otherwise exemplary experience. Good ... but not great.nAll in all, a fine experience. I’ll definitely go back again. You should, too.
I went with 2 friends last night. The server was so busy that we had to go and find her multiple times. One of the times was to let her know that one of our party still didn't have their food 20 minutes after the rest of us got ours. I ordered the steak frites medium rare. It was and unevenly cooked (some parts medium and some well done) tough piece of meat. The fries looked like the frozen kind. I expected better for a $33 entree. I would have returned it, but that would have required me hunting down the server again. And finally, they charged me for the wrong wine (more expensive). It's too bad, because the ambiance is really nice, but the food and service really need improvement.
Visited on November 1, 2020 with family. We ordered food off Seattle Restaurant week menu. The beets salad and quinoa fritters appetizers were great ! The albacore and pork tenderloin were awesome ! I ordered the beef short ribs pasta and it was ok. The spiced chocolate cake was to die for. The banana balsamic desert was different. Great venue to bring friends and family for cocktails and dinner.
Excellent! I am from out of town, and don't know the area very well. We were not even staying at the hotel. I wanted to take my partner out for a special 30th birthday dinner, and the patio was the perfect ambience and the staff and food was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and outdoor space. Will return and also stay sometime.
I've been here three times recently. The place is beautiful & quite the hidden gem in the middle of Sea TAC . It's definitely worth a visit if you've never been.nnBut here are the reasons why I give 2 stars . It was never busy every time I've been here . But every time the service has been painfully slow. Most tables were empty so they had no reason to be that slow. One time it took an hour before we got our main course . I was there today w friends. It was hard to get the waiters attention . Food took long & waited around w empty drinks before he would come check .nnNow about the food .... Totally mediocre mostly . Every time I've been disappointed as well as people I've been there with. Today I ordered fish & chips. Fish itself was good & moist . Batter was so soggy & gross . They missed the mark w one of the most basic food any cook or chef should master . It's to fry w perfect crispy batter. The quality of food doesn't match the caliber of this Lodge .nnToday we were greeted by a man in a suit. In fact there 2 men in suits who assisted our seating .They were both borderline rude. Never smiled or even made eye contact as they greeted us & took our coats . Both very Stern, stuffy and acted as if we bother them lol . I always find it fascinating when I go to a restaurant especially a nice one & the staff has horrible attitude. Do they not realize they are in hospitality business & that people like us help pay their salary ? I believe we should all be nice w everyone regardless where we are or who we are talking to. So I find this type of behavior hard to understand . A couple of wait staff were nice . But one wasn't . I rarely run into rude people. So my impression today of the staff in general was that they are unfriendly , Stern & pretentious . Unfortunately to top it off we stood & waited forever for the same guy in the suit to get our coats . Never came . Finally our waiter saw us & ended up getting our coats .nnThese are words I'd use to describe This place : beautiful property , mediocre food , painfully slow service, pretentious staff(not all ), & disorganized w staff. Hard to get help . I'd come here more often if they address these issues. Otherwise not worth it the price you pay to eat here.
