I was so surprised when we went to this pub for the first time last week. We had been in Houlton for a while but usually stuck to the pubs around market square, however, this one was well worth the extra few minutes of driving.nnThey had an excellent selection of beers (which I love) and food! Staff was very kind and the atmosphere was much nicer than I thought it would be having never been.nnDefinitely worth the visit!
I work a lot and don't go out to eat here in my hometown. Tonight my daughter took Sharon out to supper there for her birthday (I got to tag along). The outside seating under tents was INCREDIBLE! Lighting, music playing, great outdoor tables, every part of the atmosphere was a great experience. We had several appetizers, tried some new salads, steak n cheese sub, & French onion soup. All the food was great. Loved the new presentation of the food & seating. The food & atmosphere was nothing short of what you would experience in a resort town and yet here it is in Houlton Maine. Can I give them 6 stars?
I didn't have high hopes for a restaurant hiding behind an attached inn, but I came out with one of the best pulled pork melts I've ever had. Worth visiting if you're in the area.

Love the atmosphere, food and people. One of our favorite places to go!
