Secret Sister (01/25/2021)
Went to appointment. My temperature was too low to get in. They kept taking temperature and said I couldn’t be in building if my temperature wasn’t high enough. Had to be 96.0. Mine runs 95,8. Told them it ran low. Asked them to run thermometer back n forth across forehead to build friction and then try it. Still low reading. Had them do it again. Got 96.2. Sent me upstairs. They said I hadn’t registered went back downstairs. Went to 1st available. She told me to go to end and see man on phone. While I was waiting another patient came and was getting registered by person I initially went to. Man finished phone conversation. Said I was now 15 minutes late. So called up to 2nd floor and asked if they wanted to see me. I had explained all that had happened to him. He said they don’t want to see me because I’m late. I’m disabled as well. So it takes a little longer for me to walk to and from places. Not happy. I don’t know how many times I have waited much more than 15 minutes for an appointment with medical professional. Inexcusable behavior.

Do not send your child to counseling or the office of psychiatry at Center for Medical Arts. My child's counseling services were revoked after an egregious error by the doctor and counselor.nnSummary: My child shared a traumatic event with Katie (counselor) and with the psychiatrist. When the psychiatrist asked the counselor, she denied knowledge of the event and had not documented it in her counseling notes. This is the type of event that would be immediately shared with parents if the counselor was doing their job correctly. When confronted, rather than dealing with this professionally, SIH abruptly discontinued counseling services. They sent a very questionable and nasty letter addressed to my child blaming my child for the discontinuance of service. The SIH office managers refused to return calls, would not answer their phones, would not return messages. Nothing.nnSo ask yourself, would you want your child treated like this? They go to counseling, share an event that requires more mental health compassion, the counselor is negligent and because of this SIH severs the relationship and punishes the child, further victimizing them? Stay far away from here. We will be filing ethics violations with the state.

1 star for Angela WHO CAN RUIN IT FOR OTHER PATIENTS. ATTITUDE CHECK, works for Dr. Haitham Hassan's office. Horrible assistance given there. Others should be happy to have a job

Once I was placed in a room, the nurse performed a strep test on me after I explained my cough was low on my concern list as I was there to be seen for a bad eye infection. After the strep test was performed, she left and I was left to wait in that room for over an hour. I understand prompt care can be busy and I didn’t mind waiting too much. What bothered me was that I heard the nurses talking and laughing outside my door about mixing up strep tests performed on me and other patients. The provider finally came in and asked whether I had a strep test performed and then informed me it was negative. I was weary of this result as I had heard nurses laughing about mixing up and losing results. They finally looked at my eye and gave me the wrong antibiotics that didn’t even start to clear my infection even after 2-3 days. I ended up getting a second opinion at a different Dr office and was finally given the proper antibiotics to clear my infection. I only hope I don’t have permanent scarring on my eye from being infected and inflamed for so long.
