This is hands down the worst “clinic” I have ever encountered, and I have been stationed all over the country. The problem is that Lyster is not a hospital for some inexplicable reason, despite the installation housing AIT, BOLC, flight school, CCC and WOCS. It is completely unacceptable to not have a 24/7 hospital on post with such a large population. The civilian staff is widely inept and dismissive, and the Soldiers seem underutilized. The PCMs as a whole seem dedicated. The process to get ANYTHING (especially prescriptions) done at this place is needlessly bureaucratic and draconian. The CG needs to take a long, hard look at this disgrace of a clinic and revamp it to meet the needs of the installation.nnAdditionally, separate the VA from this place for God’s sake. The VA needs to have their own facility as they bring in their own set of inefficiencies that only compound on top of the already lackluster environment at Lyster.

Once u have been in military as long as I have you will realize that the wait times and the service is not bad considering u don’t have any out of pocket expensive u will be willing to forgive some of the inconvenience. In a world where everyone wants everything now and don’t want to appreciate what the military medical provides in the long run are those who will get out of military after initial enrollment and then quickly understand that the little time and inconvenience was not to much after all especially when u start having to pay the huge out of pocket expenses of civilian medical

More people need to be hired to answer the phone if it is going to take multiple days and 5 hours worth of sitting on hold to talk to someone. Especially to simply leave a message for your PCM. It doesn't make sense to sit on hold for two hours just to have someone (hopefully) answer, and transfer you to their voicemail. At least have the option to leave a message directly to the mailbox so you don't have to hold all day long.nnEdit: called today because I'm very sick. Need to see my doctor about a sinus infection and sitting no hold for three hours while you are sick as a dog is ridiculous. May as well go to the emergency room over anything you need.

It is very difficult to get prescriptions filled. I have to go to Pharmacy twice to get one filled.nThe lack of taking responsibility for their own mistakes.nYou can’t call them, nobody answers it!nYou cannot get certain prescription without running out for at least two days.nI called in a special order Prescription in on a Monday and wasn’t able to pick up until the following Monday!

Each time I have leave, there has been one tech for five individuals.
