Only two customers in the whole bar and the bartender couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to us or even look in our general direction (while sitting at the bar).

Currently closed but I hear they are re opening in the next few weeks. They had some work going on there last weekend.

The Lost Horse has always been a place I’ve enjoyed going to. It felt truly authentic. However what we found out on our most recent visit, this bar is no longer owned by Ty, the old cowboy who would sit out back with his dogs and tell his patrons about his times on old western movie sets. The new owner has absolutely zero percentage of this western mystique, and seemingly zero interest in engaging with his patrons.nnThe bartender gave us top shelf liquor without asking and the price of our first round came out to, a whopping $41 for a beer, a shot, and two soda cocktails which is more than the cost of a round at a bar in a city where you actually expect to pay that much. In fact these were the most expensive drinks we encountered in Marfa and by far the least memorable.nnThe bartender was new on the job, and the owner had to explain to her how to make a drink. Nobody asked if we wanted last call. The owner sat next to a large flatscreen tv that he placed against the crumbling Adobe wall, while the bartender texted on her phone. My friend had to ask for another round, and a not so offensively priced round. Give us the well, as we did not come to this dive bar for the craft.nnSad to see what happens when the OG leaves and the new owner destroys the appeal.

Campy little spot with outside seating and good food that they may or may not be out of. Liquor and beer choices. Solid dive bar for sure. Ask for karaoke as the locals get in-to-it!

Had a lot of fun at the Lost Horse Saloon! If you’re looking for a place to grab drinks in Marfa this is it. The owner is very friendly and the Ranch Waters are delicious. Free pool is a nice touch too.
