BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

We had really good time at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse today. We had a group of six and we all enjoyed out meals. My meal which is Alaska salmon with steamed broccoli ud83eudd66 and rice,nwas very delicious. The place is clean nice and Quiet. I loved it.

Server was fantastic, this was the 1st time I've eaten out at a restaurant in a year and 4months...I LOVE the plastic screens between booths. I had Mediterranean chicken pita tacos, my hubby had mushroom wiss burger, mom had lemon pepper chicken wings & white wine, & Dad had fish & chips. The food was much better than the last time I ate here about 3 years ago; the revamped menu is definitely better than it used to be. Well done BJ's, it was nice to dine in public with my family again!!ud83dude01

Delicious as always! Only gave 4 stars because I had to send my food back a few times to get it right. But our waitress was awesome!

This was a disappointing experience for us. As a note, my girlfriend and I both have a lot of restaurant and bar experience from our college years. We are very rarely critical of food service. We know how hard the job can be and how challenging members of the public can be. We tend to tip generously and give a lot of latitude. The waitress was personable and the beer/wine we ordered was good. It kind of went downhill from there. The calamari appetizer was okay but soggy. Definitely not crispy as described on the menu. There were three of us and we all ordered burgers. Two of us ordered medium rare and a third medium. They arrived timely but all were very much well done. The meat was tough and chewy, detracting from what was otherwise a good burger. That's what happens to meat when you overcook it. At no point during the meal or after did our waitress ask how things were or if the food was okay. We had a second round of drinks and waited awhile for the trays to be cleared. Nope. We ended up stacking them on the end of the table while we finished our drinks. I heard a neighboring table ask our waitress if she could clear their dishes so they could have some room. While we were finishing our drinks, I saw our waitress sitting in an empty booth doing something on her phone. She brought our check, we paid and she still never cleared the trays stacked on the end of the table. Her phone was apparently more important than taking care of her tables. Despite this, we still tipped well because we know how the job can be. Perhaps we shouldn't have but that's not how we are. Trips to the restroom were pretty bad. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in awhile. There was a lot of sticky, dried urine on the floor under the urinals and it smelled like, well, dried urine. That was pretty much the last straw. This is ostensibly an upscale casual restaurant but it never seemed like anyone really cared about providing that experience or meeting that expectation. Definitely not our waitress but I don't think she knows any better. A failure on her trainer's part I would guess. Finally, I never saw a manager out on the floor. A lot of these problems could have been avoided by a manager's oversight and engagement.
