After the grand opening of Banana island lounge and grill. I decided to visit,nStepping into the restaurant and being welcomed with the most pleasant scent was the peak of it all.nThe food was amazing, As a Nigerian based in Texas, the local dish reminded me of home made dishes.nI had a nice experience at Banana lounge.

This place has potential, I went on a Sunday the music was good but a little too loud, had to yell just to talk to my friends next to me. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced. I would have to go again when it isn't so loud to try the food.

So looking for something not fast food and happened on the Banana Island Lounge and Grill. Great Jollof Rice, Sauteed Spinach, and service! Love TX BBQ but after 3 days, this place was a great change! Thanks, Andrea

I came for Sunday Funday and ordered the Banana Island Breeze which was a mixed drink with rum served in a pineapple. I also got Egusi soup with goat meat, and a pineapple rice bowl with shrimp. Everything was delicious, compliments to the chef! The service and atmosphere were excellent!

We arrived at 7:32 and did not receive our food until we’ll over an hour. We did not receive all of our food and then was told they didn’t realize we ordered 2 platters. The platter claims to feed 2, it could barely feed me and a child at best. To make it worse, diners who came in after us received their food in a decent time. I would have no problem with the time it took to get our food if the food was good, great, fantastic but unfortunately it was mediocre at best. We ordered goat and did not receive that, the chicken was bland and the chicken in the Egusi soup had no taste. The jollof rice and the chicken Suya was the only thing that was decent. I paid a total of $50+ to only leave hungry and headed to Chick Fil A.
