I had heard Washington State’s mental health care system was not good but I had no idea how awful it was until my child voluntarily went. From the front office staff, caseworker and one physician my families experience was horrid. A front office worker that answers the phone was passive aggressive and deceitful. A caseworker offered a deal that if we stopped pursuing getting our child released right away he’d let her go in 5 days. She VOLUNTARILY went and now we were in the fight for our child’s life to get out of there before more damage was done. This place is not set up to rehabilitate. One telephone for everyone, no windows, no going outside, 3 people to a room, constant noise even throughout the night, no doors on bathroom stalls...the list goes on. The first physician recommended a prescription that alters the brain. Words don’t even explain the magnitude of hopelessness this facility made me feel. Lastly, we were blessed by a second physician that agreed our child could be released back to us. It scares me to think if he had not agreed. The destruction of my child getting stuck in this system would have been life altering AND I still worry about all the other children and adults that are going through this or could possibly go through this. Please be aware. A negative star system should be in place for this facility.

My nephew has been missing since Friday August 21 2024 he was released from this place They basically threw him out on the street with no phone, no cloth and an injured foot. Due to the Corona virus they hired a company to drive him to a community house in Longview that had no room for him. These people have no empathy for mental illness or are trained properly to release a patient safely.nWe are currently in contact with an attorney.nI do not reccomend this hospital, last time we spoke to them they said they were on the phone trying to relocate him but the Police have no record of them even calling them.

I was here a couple of years ago right after I turned 18. It looks like so little has changed after reading the recent reviews. I understand it must be a difficult place to work, but I can't believe how unprofessional and uncaring the staff were. I was put on large amounts of drugs before ever being evaluated in person by a licensed doctor. Many of the patients are walking around so medicated that they can't even remember why they checked themselves in (this was on the floor for non violent people or people who were there voluntarily) This facility gets away with things that NO regular hospital on the Eastside ever could. I sincerely wish everyone who wrote reviews with such disturbing information would please take some form of action against this place.

If you consider Fairfax to get mental help, please find something else. They forget about you the moment they get a check.nI have been struggling to get a hold of my medical records for weeks with no luck. Faxes, emails, in person requests did not help. Alyssa has never reached back. My life and ability to have home literally depends on them, and they do not bother doing anything.nStaff was okay. I was in partial hospitalisation. Dr Diaconu gave me diagnosis within 5 minutes of meeting me (it was incorrect, and I am trying another medication now, but it happened with few other psychiatrists already, so typical). Therapy consisted of clinicians reading internet articles on mental health out loud for ~5 hours a day which was sorta helpful. Game hours on Wednesdays were pretty fun, too.nDealing with this place after discharging would make sane person insane. I do not know why I went there without reading reviews first. Do not settle on the first place you’re recommended, I guess.
