We got takeout from the Carnation Ixtapa in the middle of COVID and we’re totally blown away!! They are so friendly, fast, the portions were insane, and the food tasted incredible! I grew up going to the Duvall Ixtapa which was always a family favorite but haven’t loved them since they changed their menu and Carnation Ixtapa was definitely reminiscent of those old days!!
Good, but not over the moon fantastic. Really, for Mexican food that appeals to the masses, it's top notch. I found it just a little bland, though. I like more heat - once I loaded it up with their salsa, it was better. If you don't like a ton of heat, this will be perfect for you.
The food is fresh and delicious. The service is exceptional. During this time the restaurant is recognizing customer spacing. And the margaritas are mixed just right.
