If I could give zero stars, I would. My niece was hospitalized here and just got out a couple of days ago.nShe is 15 and attempted suicide by taking a whole bottle of pills. She suffers from severe depression. Her stay here at this hospital was horrible. The workers were very rude in the waiting area while she was waiting to get admitted. It was very uncomfortable. They weren’t considerate at all. They had the tv on in there and it wasn’t appropriate to have on. For example they had action movies that would possibly trigger a patient trying to get admitted. It was disturbing and highly unprofessional.nThey obviously didn’t care and I felt like they didn’t take any of this seriously. Mental health is very serious and by being there these workers seemed to not care. The nurses were rude to her as well and the other kids that were patients there. One nurse she remembers especially is named Jesse (a woman). She told me this nurse was incredibly rude and had a huge attitude.nWe are definitely filling out that form to return to the hospital and filing a huge complaint.nThe staff here at this hospital needs to be more compassionate towards their patients. You work at a mental behavioral hospital to help others that are mentally in need. These patients aren’t mentally stable to have someone be rude to them.nIf you are a staff member here at that hospital and you are rude to these patients you DO NOT BELONG HERE. I am so very disappointed in this hospital and will be writing a letter to the head of the hospital and I will be making a report with the Better Business Bureau.

I was an inpatient here for 4 times in a row back to back starting in January. The last time was in March. Well my wallet & cellphone were taken from me and never returned back when I was discharged from the hospital in April. They were obviously stolen from me along with my silver hearts ring my son gave me which he purchased in Kuwait. I've tried calling to speak to someone there about this but nobody ever returns my phone calls back. I will never ever go to this hospital again also because of the way I was mistreated by the staff workers & other things as well.n4/05/2021nRE: Alicia, I've been calling several times since six months ago & leaving messages for the patient advocates to return my phone call regarding this serious issue but nobody has contacted me. My next step is to report this to the Texas Health & Human Services Commission Health Facility Compliance Group. It's already going to be one year on 4/15/2021.

I’m only willing to give this place 1 star because the place was clean and the nurses and techs were very kind. However my psychiatrist, Dr.Arla was very unkind. She ruined the majority of my experience. She spoke very condescendingly to me and several other patients in my unit. For example she called one patient and unfit mother due to her issues, that should never be said to anyone. They’re supposed to support us and help us get better, not shame us. On top of that she would only speak to us for 2 minutes and rush us out. She always seemed to be in a hurry. I was only at the hospital for severe anxiety issues, not drugs or suicidal attempts and she tried to keep me there for an extended period of time which was not needed. I was told by other patients she’ll try keep you until the insurance runs out. After finding this out and requesting to go home I teared up a little bit and she told me, “seeing you crying actually makes me think you’re not ready to go home.” Which would be understandable if I wasn’t crying because of her being rude to me and keeping me away from my family for an unnecessary period of time. And I had found out after being discharged that she has me on two medications that have a major interaction with each other. So overall I really don’t recommend having Dr Arla but the hospital itself and the staff were great. I really want to shout out the night nurse Janette as well. She was the only nurse that really interacted with us and spoke with us individually from the heart. Also the hospital was very clean and organized. Several others and myself will be reporting the doctor for her unprofessional behavior.

My experience, although painful, as an inpatient and outpatient was incredible for me and my family. I am a better person today because of the staff there. I finally got on the proper medications. Thank you everyone for your help.

Terrible experience!!!! Went to get my sister checked out and see where her mental health was but got stuck there for 5hrs. On top of that a girl tried escaping with horrible injures. Sister got evaluated in only 5mins cause they didn't listen to her at all. In the end we had to call the cops to leave due to the legal binding when you sign the first paper. We weren't told at all what that paper was for and only thought it was for insurance purposes but no it submits the patient right away without evaluation. DON'T SUBMIT YOUR CHILDERN HERE OR YOU'LL HAVE A PAIN GETTING THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
