My family and I moved to Olney 4 years ago. During this period, my wife has visited the ER twice and myself once. We have never before experienced such incompetence. With each visit, starting with the nurse at the check-in desk in the lobby, we have never seen such poor care. Not only did they not care, they were openly hostile and even challenged whether we were even legitimately injured. In my wife’s case, she required major reconstructive surgery and the lobby nurse insisted that my wife was being a drama queen. I have visited more than 90 countries and I have never experienced such a dysfunctional and pathetic hospital. It’s amazing that this place manages to stay open as we approach 2021.

I love this hospital!!! I just had my baby there on Aug 2 and loved the experience ud83dude0a. The nurses and doctors love what they do and care about patients a lot. I felt respected and very important while under their care. I really recommend this place to all my friends and family. All I can say to them is thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

My father is a cancer patient here, had a rough weekend with much nausea & vomiting, dehydration. Had to go to ER. Staff was super friendly and empathetic. ER doc had very warm personality and we felt his compassion right away. Nurses and techs likewise were friendly and attentive. We had to wait 20-30 min. to be seen, but then got a bay in ER right away. Also had to wait a while for labs to be done and IV meds started. Once he was admitted, the hospital room was new, clean, and very comfortable. A good choice coming here for ER care.

At drs direction brought my wife in to ER for treatment for blood clots. Room was half full when we arrived. Room completely empty now after waiting patiently for over two hours, but she has not been seen yet. Staff standing around chatting. My daughter called shady grove hospital while we waited, and they said they had a ten minute wait. After I asked who was in charge, and what we needed to do for service, she was finally called in. I don’t know what the problem was, but we would have appreciated being told about the lengthy wait so we could seek an alternative. After this experience, we won’t be in a hurry to return. My advice: call ahead about the wait whichever ER you plan to go to. BTW, although they have taken blood we are still in waiting room, after over two hours forty five minutes! Definitely not a satisfactory experience.

1 Star is the lowest star you can get I wish you could give a 0. Ive been to this hospital twice this week. I waited in the waiting room for over 5 hours to be misdiagnosed, disrespected by the staff including intimidation from 4-5 officers who were in the Er. It got so bad I had to tell the hospital police “please stop harassing me I’m not looking at you so please stop staring at me. The Er is a joke they say they’re always busy. Today it took a lady to start convulsing in the waiting room in order for them to act like they cared and even after that there wasn’t a sense of urgency at all whatsoever. The nurses are constantly standing around talking and huddled sometimes with security. Overall the staff is rude and unorganized. I was told by my doctor to go find the nurse to fill the prescription because he couldn’t find her. Wow. I’ve told them repeatedly I couldn’t breathe or had trouble breathing all that was said was “ok”nOfficers were occupying the front desk I had left private information including my car name number etc on a piece of paper and the officer refused to confirm if my private info had been properly discarded. The officers were being intimidating and refused to answer any questions. They were the only ones in the waiting room the rest of the staff was no where to be found.nAll staff did not answer properly or follow up with any request. Every response was “you have to find the nurse”n“I don’t know I’m just this job title”nA lady a register 3 who was sitting back there didn’t even have the common decency to look me in the eyes when I had a question. Honestly when I’ve been in this hospital the staff has a neglect for patients unless they are on the verge of dying like with the woman had trouble breathing and started convulsing. I’m very disappointed and disgusted. Talking to staff and not being looked in the face and being told to “hold up” and “go find the nurse yourself”nabsolutely unacceptable.
