My elderly father was admitted into this facility from a hospital transfer. In a covid time, my father tested negative for covid prior to admission . We were advised of his personal belongings including a sizable amount of cash, which was said to be locked up with wallet and keys. After 3 weeks at this facility my father became sick, and was transported to hospital. Family was not notified of this, until I called to check on him. Later that same afternoon Tonya called to advise us my father had tested positive for covid and contracted it from their facility! Fast forward a week and half, they refused him to return although he showed no symptoms and hospital being ready to release him. Today RN Brenda leaves me an early morning message that they were closing facility doors to clean due to covid outbreak and advised of personal belongings needing to be picked up which included sizable amount of cash. 45 minutes later when we arrived to pick up belongings the cash, and my fathers wallet conveniently disappeared! The COO Kirt Perron not only refused to acknowledge my father contracting Covid, he offered no real resolution on replacing the cash and wallet with other missing contents . His only resolution was to write my 80 year old father who has dementia and covid in the hospital a check for the amount, which is no good since my father is not in a position to do anything with a check ! I can only assume his hopes are knowing this check cannot be cashed, that his facility will not lose the money one of his employees fraudulently sole to begin with. On another note, we turned a blind eye to was with covid, only 1 phone line is available for all patiences 2xs a day, 1 hour time frame. Many occasions especially during the evenings these aids would become completely rude and frustrated with patients who’s family members would make multiple calling attempts to reach their loved ones. Not every aid showed this behavior, however 1 is too many since it’s there protocol.. I would refrain from sending anyone meaningful in your live here, and definitely make sure they have nothing of value because you will never see it again, and the COO will only accommodate to his convince , not necessarily what is realistically best for you or your loved one !

The facility is only a holding station for trouble people. While in the Youngsville facility, patients were exposed to Covid. Patients only watched television each day with no group work. This experience was a horrible experience.
