I have been trying to get in touch with anyone from this center all day long and the phones have been busy. I would really like to check up on my loved one. They have rules about the phone and time limits but they dont even go by it because when I call at the correct time they tell me I cant call at that time. About to make the 2 hour drive just to ask them WTH

I was there two days. I spoke to no mental health staff, no discussion of a treatment plan, not even a hint. The techs were excellent; the nursing staff indifferent at best. It’s not all on their shoulders, Western 0aks is clearly understaffed. Western Oaks management is quit obviously more concerned with costs as opposed patient welfare and recovery.nnA typical new patient’s day begins thus: following in initially evaluation. The client is taken to his/her room, dumped and that’s it, cèst finie for day. The rest of the day was spend in anticipation of (the few and far between smoke breaks—more on that later), television time—children’s programs and inane sit-coms.—and simply staring at the floor. On my first day two groups were scheduled; one took place. It was a child’s game—Pokeno.nnLooking at the rest of the week’s proved no better. I came here to detox from excessive been drinking. Nothing, absolutely nothing happened therapeutic at your facility. It was a different story altogether at Memorial. I won’t go into details but suffice it io say the treatment was night and date.

Went here for suicidal ideation and depression. I have never had such a restful treatment. I am so thankful. This place has amazing employees and quality service. Everyone here is invested in your treatment. It's perfect to get your head straight and start the right path for medications. It feels more like a resort than a hospital. They even let you outside four times a day to smoke or walk around. It's wonderful. They let you shave, also. And the group therapies are great stuff. I love this place, and I will forever recommend it. I think they saved my life.

The staff was jam up and very protective of their people; great atmosphere and a very relaxed environment

Well for starters there is nothing here that would help anybody mentally, though maybe physically from hurting ones self ,but helping with psychological problems nothing good. They just admit you give you medicine and maybe play one little game in group and that's it. Employers don't do anything psychological with the patients. The staff seems to hire cocain abusers and even found a cocain bag in one of the workers walkie talkies and did no further investigation, including did not question anyone about it ,but yet they will fire an employer who decides to smoke a cigarette with a patient when its time for the patients to have a smoke break. Place is just depressing so if your needing psychological evaluation then this is the wrong place to do so. No treatment besides medicine and a bed and told what and when they can do anything. So it would make problems worse. Go to a nice treatment center in my opinion well fact that is. Very dissatisfied facility.
