I was treated disrespectfully by two female staff members. I was taken to horizon in September (by my mom). I had also just gotten off work at 7:00am after a twelve hour shift, (I’m a nurse). My mom first took me to Bedford ED. I was assessed and discharged by a medical doctor within an hour. He recommended horizon, as I did not have health insurance. My mom took me to the child & family center by mistake ( I am 26 years old). I walked out from the waiting area as it was packed, these two females proceeded to follow me out of the parking lot, getting into my mothers car, I stayed calm, being a nurse myself. The female with dark brown hair, brown eyes & a bit heavyset, said “oh yeah she needs help.” She then proceeded to tell my mom “she’s angry, she’s aggressive.” I’m not sure how this was possible being that I had started the morning caring for patients with developmental disabilities, and had been cleared already from an MD at the ED in Bedford. Anyway, they ended up transporting me to Lynchburg ED, where I still remained calm, & somehow got me admitted to mundy 3.nJust to update : my nursing license is still active ☺ufe0fnI know no insurance limits the practioners you are able to see, however no care is better than bad care!nWouldn’t recommend this type of treatment to anyone, ever.nI went through the same ordeal with the same two females TWICE. Very unprofessional staff & I mean that whole heartily. PS- I am a NURSE.
