Aside from pediatric emergency, I wouldn’t take my child there, the children’s hospital was very good, monitored my child’s heart rate after an accidental ingestion and kept me informed of any problems. I did have a problem with the social worker after the fact however because she did not explain things clearly acted like I was going to yell at her the whole time and did not explain what was going on so that I knew what to expect. I completely understood that an accidental ingestion has to be reported to dcfs and I understand why, however I wish she had explained everything a bit better instead of rushing through it and not telling me exactly what was happening. Please hire a social worker who will actually take the time and talk to the parents rather than brush everything over.
