Szechuan Taste II

I love this place. The friendliest couple own it and work hard everyday. The food is great. We shared Pad Thai and Wontons. The portions were still big enough to split and take home. The elderly lady (half of the elderly couple) who served us was very appreciative and thanked us over and over.nMakes me happy to have had lunch there.

Giving this place 5 stars because I don't think it deserves its current rating (3.2 with a lot of negativity in reviews). I live in Leadville and enjoy getting takeout from here every once in a while. It's solid, classic Americanized-Chinese food that hits the spot when you get that craving. I'm thankful for the nice old couple running this place here in town.

I’d give it more of a 3.5 and not a 3. Very mixed opinions about this place. Crab rations, sesame balls, and BBQ buns are amazing. We also ordered Drunken Noodle and Pad Thai. Drunken Noodle was decent, just kind of small and mostly full of cabbage. Pad Thai was the grossest thing I’ve ever had. Wish I had taken a picture of it. The tofu was mush and it tasted like sweet and sour sauce over noodles. Overall this place is fine but do not get the Pad Thai.

My wife and I went in. The reviews I read were negative, there were only 2 other people waiting for food, but I wanted to try regardless. My wife ordered sesame chicken and I ordered mongolian beef. My wife is fussy and she said fresh and spicy and great. Mine was also fresh and spicy. It was a good decision.

Got take out for 2 and it was ready in 15 minutes. Kung pao chicken was really good. Fair prices and decent portions. Right on Main Street so way to find. We ate our meal in a small park across Main Street. As I picked up the meal, the older gentleman who took my order (probably owner and chef) thanked me profusely for coming in. It was a Sunday afternoon in summer and we were his 2nd customers for the day. I’m sure his business is suffering with covid. I’m happy to support this local small business that provides great food and service.
