Players Sports Bar

My husband and I visited Lake Placid on a winter weekend - and found out that the town was bustling! It was a Thursday evening and we hadn’t expected it to be so busy at 7 pm. We had no dinner reservations, and after being told by 5 restaurants that their wait lists were full for the night, we nearly gave up and went to the grocery store or ordered a pizza. Players Sports Bar was our last try, at the end of our long and chilly walk. And, they had room for us! When we got inside, the wait staff was warm and welcoming and we had warm food in minutes. We loved our burgers - and, even better? Our appetizer: Spinach and Artichoke dip with warm pita bread. We had a good experience here and were ever so thankful to find a place to eat and be warm on a chilly night.

Our group of seven tried players last night and we were suspicious on their no wait when other bars were and hour and a half. The menu had a nice selection and the beer was great. After eating out meals we proceed home and something didn't feel right. Five out of the seven ended up puking that night (myself not one of them) but we all had upset stomachs. Most of us felt better after yacking, but the reminder remained. You decide if it's worth it.

Classy decor for a sports bar and it's right on Mirror Lake with a heated enclosed deck to enjoy the views from. We were there for a late morning hot chocolate drink to get relief from the near zero outside temperatures. Friendly staff and naturally lots of big screen TV'S to see the action from. The menu is typical for this type of place and not as expansive as a full restaurant. Moderate pricing for downtown Lake Placid

Amazing people amazing service amazing food. No relation to anyone here.I've been coming to lake placid every year for the past 5 years and every year this place gets better and better. The owners of the establishment are still on the floor serving food and managing the business.

Got charged for included gratuity for 4 people we also split the check 2 and 2. The also told us they were closing at 5pm so we made sure we were done, as we were walking out at 5pm they sat another table and never actually closed. Spent $80 on three drinks and fried pickles. Went up stairs to top of the park and spent $50 on 6 drinks and a cheese board. The couple with us only could have one drink, waitress never came after fried pickles were done to check on us other than to give us the checks.
