Rude staff , you are offering coffe and bagel not some live saving services

Visiting from out of town, stopped by for a brunch before heading back home. It was an hour long wait even on a Monday morning, but there’s a clear reason why. Food is so so so good and the prices are so so so good as well! We all stuffed our faces until we literally couldn’t eat anymore. Our waitress was also very kind and friendly. Definitely worth the wait, and we are from nyc so that says a lot!

The waitstaff were great!!! The food was ok, I was expecting it to be better. Omelet was way overcook and I just asked for a cheese omelet. We were told 25 minute wait and it was almost an hour, we understand a wait but that was way off for timing.

We absolutely love this place and come back at least once every visit! Their biscuits and gravy with sausage is to die for, and they give you a ton of it! Service is bright, cheery, and fast! Pricing is decent and not overly expensive. I love their waffles as well, but the biscuits and gravy win everytime for who got the best meal.

My girlfriends and I decided to do a weekend trip to lake placid and we had such a wonderful time. We had reviewed local restaurants and bars prior to arriving and the breakfast club was on the list so we made our way over on Saturday morning for brunch.nWe walked up to the hostess to be seated and notified us that there was a 45 minute wait. My friend turned to us and said “oh wow 45 minutes!”Simply surprised that the wait was so long because it didn’t seem too busy. The hostess so rudely snapped at her and said “there’s no need for a “oh wow” it’s usually 2 hours.. so you’re lucky”nSo we agreed to just place our name down on the list because we wanted to dine there. The hostess then asked for a name so my friend starts to give hers and the hostess cuts her off after the first letter and goes “give me an easy name..”nNow my friends and I are all Indian girls. So we knew we right then that the first comment about the wait wasn’t an off handed remark. She made her feelings about us being there perfectly clear. We stood out amongst the crowd and we tried giving her the benefit of the doubt. So during our wait we decided to grab coffee from the cafe at the breakfast club - we noticed an Asian woman approach this same hostess to ask her a question. The way she spoke to this woman was shocking. And how quickly her tone and demeanor changed when addressing another family confirmed our initial reaction.nnIt was absurd.nnWe definitely felt out of place until we were seated. The rest of the staff was extremely welcoming. We had a great experience following out initial interaction.nnSo POC - just a heads up.
