The food here is by far top quality! My boyfriend, who is very particular about his steaks, was beyond impressed with our entire meal, even the ceasar salad he had! Heather was such a pleasure, and I loved her service! We will definitely be returning in the future!

One of the best restaurants on the lake! Marc and Christine in the bar will treat you like family. Highly recommend the woodshed martini and Rib eye... you won't be disappointed

The lamb was superb. We love the cute bread in the clay pot but would love if they would offer a flavored butter like orange butter, its not that hard to make. Very nice atmosphere.

My husband and I dined here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything, from start to finish, was fantastic. Oysters were delicious, as was crab cake app. Rib eye was cooked to perfect medium rare; the pork porterhouse special was to die for. Wish there were more roasted carrots on the plate- they were THAT good. Add in a couple of their specialty cocktails and a scoop of blueberry ice cream and we left very full and very happy. Our waiter, Nate, was outstanding. Very pleasant and capable, not at all hovering, and we thoroughly enjoyed his outgoing and fun personality. The place is beautifully appointed and we really enjoyed the music- popular music from the big band era, totally up our alley and just loud enough to enjoy. I absolutely recommend the New Woodshed; I also recommend calling in advance for reservations. Can't wait to return again soon.

Had dinner with family & a friend (4 people, total) a few weeks ago. I'd called ahead to ask about vegetarian options and was expecting to have a topped baked potato & some assortment of veg side dishes. I'd heard that the baked potatoes are excellent, so this wasn't a problem. When we ordered, I was offered the option of a lentil-rice salad (not on the menu that evening, but the chef made it available when told that our party included a vegetarian) - it was excellent, as was the broccolini side. We also had a cheese plate starter, which had a nice assortment of cheeses, crackers, nuts, & fruit, as well as honey & chutney. The flower pot bread was wonderful, too. I can also recommend the flourless chocolate cake - dense and just sweet enough. I'm told that the steak, prime rib, and fish were quite good, as well. The service was excellent - given the limited number of diners, it could easily have felt like the staff hovered, but that was not the case. Our server was available & attentive, the food was served in good time and was well-presented. Excellent food, excellent service, pleasant atmosphere - from start to finish, this vegetarian thoroughly enjoyed visiting this steakhouse.
