Nice people and good products!
Looking into Elderwood's business practices before purchasing one of their items made me completely rethink my decision and cancel the purchase. Quite frankly their is nothing wrong with their products, that said they have used suspicious meathods to keep their business afloat and are attempting to claim the sole right to producing hexagonal dice boxes, which were not theirs in the first place. I cannot justify spending 50-60 bucks for a dice box and having that money go to killing competition in the nerd gear market.
Wonderful products and very high quality stuff! But my favorite is the Dice Catapult Kit only 7 buck's!
Malicious business practises.nThat is the only word one can use after hearing from various rival businesses that Elderwood has used fraud by issueing false DCMA takedown notices and is now in the proces of committing a second fraud by registering a malicious generic patent on a basic shape, trying to patent a honeycomb shape, of their 'hex box' which is a product Elderwood copied from rivals in the first place, with the intent of abusing this false patent to shut down rival businesses.nnElderwood thus proves to be a malicious and unethical company, that cannot provide you with quality, seeing as they feel the need to abuse law to deter competitors.nnIn addition to Elderwood's actions being likely criminal in nature, you as the consumer are not safe with them. People engaged in practises that opposed to ethical business conduct, do not have your best interest in mind and do not deserve you spending your money on their products.
Files false DMCA claims as well as broad Trade Dress claims in an attempt to stifle any competition on the market for their products, leaving them the sole seller of dice cases with a honeycomb interior.
