Recently bought a firearm here. The place had some odds and ends that you don't normally see at your average gun store. Owner very friendly and has some good stories. I had to order in my gun and I was surprised at how fast it came in! It took less then a week! Gave a fair deal on ammo that I purchased with the gun. Just make sure you are 100% on the price before you order something from here. Overall it's a cozy little shop.
I have dealt with Walt for quite a few years. Once you get to know him he is a great guy. You have to remember he is a small dealer and doesn't get the same discounts as the big box stores so has a difficult time selling at big box prices. I agree he can be cranky sometimes, But for the most part he is easy to deal with. He will treat you well if you treat him well. I recommend that you give him a chance and over time you will be surprised really how nice he can be.
Don't give these people your business!!!!! Its not worth the headache!!!! I took my pistol there to have some work done on it. It was there for almost two months waiting for a spring for the trigger. I got tired of waiting so I told them to cancel the order if they could. They said that they couldn't but they could use the spring on another pistol. When I went in to pick my pistol up they wanted to charge $10.00 for leaving it there. I said I didn't think I should have to pay considering that it sat there for two months and they did nothing to it!!! I was told to take my gun and leave!!!! What a waste of time!!!!! I would recommend staying clear of the Powder Keg. They are slow and don't want to do business!!!!!
Extremely friendly and helpful. Helped me make my first online purchase and I have every intention of giving more business to these guys instead on online market places.
