Jenny's Brides & Alterations

The seamstress had my wedding dress for one month to complete hemming, taking the straps up one inch, ordered larger breast cups and replacing the original ones as well as adding a bustle. I was told my dress was ready only to come in and see the cups had not been replaced. She came to after trying it on and said “you look like you need a bigger cup” which I then told her, yeah you said you we’re doing that.... she then informed me the cups had not come in. Only refunded me 20$ of the 220$ she charged me. I took it to another seamstress to have the full job done that I had intended, and they noticed my bustle was done incorrectly. I called to inform the seamstress here and she said she’d fix it but I told her no thanks. I’d rather go somewhere else and she said she would only refund me 40$. I feel completely taken advantage of and entirely swindled by this lady! ! I would NEVER recommend going here to anyone!!! Do not!!! The work is not quality work for the money you’re paying. My maid of honor had her dress taken in 1in and charged 110$. The prices are outrageous!!! The lady is unreasonable. When I told her she ruined my bustle on my dress that I paid over 700$ for. She informed me she works with dresses that are much more expensive than mine... which seemed extremely rude to me. I don’t know why I wasn’t informed all the work couldn’t be done because pieces had not been ordered or the order wasn’t in.... that means my dress isn’t ready... why would you call and say it is?? Ultimately do not even consider this place for your wedding alteration needs. Not worth it!!! Weddings are stressful and expensive enough without having two pay outrageous alteration costs and then paying another place to fix it.

My friend and I went to Jenny’s for alternations for my maid of honor dress and her wedding dress. I had an inch taken in on the shoulder and about an in hemmed at the length. I was charged $120 and the chest part was still loose.nMy best friend had the shoulder part taken up, larger cups to be put in at the bust, some length removed and also a bustle added. No pads were added, only a comment that she needed bigger ones and that my friend could “borrow” her cups she had but they didn’t have any others in. But when we ordered them four weeks prior she said they would be in, no problem. Later my friend found that her bustle was all wrong and done incorrectly, by another seamstress she took her dress to. So basically the only thing that was done correctly was the removal of length at the bottom and the shoulder straps tightened and was charged $220. For basically nothing. And she’s only refunding her $60 total. So $180 for a couple inches of work done. Complete waste of time and money. To have my best friend, THE BRIDE, not be happy with her alterations to this extent when her wedding is less than three weeks away is a problem. The professionalism was not present in any of this situation. I am appalled at the way we were treated. The cost wouldn’t have been an issue if things would have been done correctly, or if we were told up front what couldn’t be done. But that wasn’t the case. We had to “find out” that things we were charged for just weren’t done. Period. And not told about them.nI would not recommend this place ever.

I had an awful experience at Jenny bridal alterations. I saw all good reviews so I brought my bridesmaid dress there to be hemmed. First off she was 20 minutes late to my appointment. Like she was not even to the building but I get it things happen. They never told me they don’t take card which is something that should be mentioned on the phone as a lot of people do not carry cash/check. I was told to pick up in 2 weeks I don’t live close so my mom went to get it and they could not find the dress. We had to go back the next day and when my mom brought it to me I tried it on and I’m pretty sure they did not even hem it because it drug on the ground about 4 inches even with my heels on. Also she stitched in pads for me and they are basically both hanging on by one thread. Total waste of 140$

Ordered a bridesmaid dress from elsewhere online that needed to be taken in because it was a few sizes too big, and Jenny's did an absolutely amazing job!! I will 100% go back again and also recommend them to everyone.

Not very cash money at all. I just straight up didn't have a good time
