Our laptop went to the dreaded black screen so took it in late afternoon. Jake told us he wouldn't be able to get to it until the next day. Diagnosing the problem is free and he would call us when he found the problem. The very next day Jake called and said it was the hard drive that was shot. He called at 1:30 pm and after we gave the go ahead to fix it said it would be ready at 3:30 pm. Great service. good price and everything was saved. Certainly recommend them.
WARNING BUYER BEWARE! I don’t ever leave negative reviews like this but people need to know about how this place operates! If you leave your laptop in their care they won’t contact you they will just send it off to get recycled! Not sure how a place with this kind of customer service stays in business. The guy that answered the phone told me they are not a storage facility and they recycle all laptops after 3 months! Never received a consent form or anything to give them authorization to recycle my personal property. No one reached out to me at all about recycling my laptop, even the gentlemen at the store who I was texting with couldn't let me know. Maybe a 7-14 day heads up would be nice! I trusted this company with all my personal information on the laptops hard drive and they just decided to give it away. Who knows who they sent my personal information to when they said they “recycled it”! Don’t do business with this company for anything they can’t even get the basics of putting policies in place to protect their customers!

Visiting Kalamazoo from out of town and forgot my computer power cord! The shop was clean, very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. They had a new cord but not a used one, so I decided to wait until I got back home and they kindly charged my battery for FREE! If I need any phone or computer help or repair I would go back and give my business to the Computer Shoppe in Portage.
Great place to get computers fixed!!! Mike is great has fixed our computers for five or six years, both personal & business. He has never let us down!
