Honest, excellent boat service. Let’s face it, if you have a boat (and you are too busy to fix or marine mechanically-challenged), you need a good mechanic. I fit these parameters and have been with Southern Maine Marine for years.nBoating is a luxury, I realize, so forgive me for discussing during viral hard times for many....but.... Owner Paul and his crew take pride in and stand behind their work.nNobody gives away marine services, but this company is solid, and you get your money’s worth. When you haul your boat from there to use it, you are seaworthy and ready.

Sold my father a propeller. It fell off after about ten minutes of use. Then they told us we put it on wrong and explained what we messed up. Even though we watched their installation video online to install it. Brought the boat down there so they could take a look. Oh we sold you the wrong prop. Didn’t refund the money and wouldn’t put my old prop back on because I didn’t by it there. Place is apparently about it’s dollars and not it’s customer service or product knowledge.

We pride ourselves on being honest and fair. We also stand behind all of the work we do. However, if it turns out that what is wrong with your boat has nothing to do with work we've done, you will be liable for all costs incurred.nnWe've even gone as far as to set up payment plans with people who incur significant bills they can't pay all at once but still want to enjoy their boats. We love what we do, we understand that our season is short and contrary to some belief, we want you to have the ability to enjoy what you work so hard for. Boats are not cheap, we understand that. However, it is not up to marine businesses to subsidize your boating.nnSo please, be honest and be kind to those who service your boats and understand that we are not door mats for your frustrations.
