I realize we're in a pandemic but no need to price gouge

having probably the best year for sales in history and selling ammo at a very inflated price. I had to live with. Get to the counter to pay 600+ for what was 110 a year ago and then they add a 2% fee for using a credit card. Well I bought it because I am afraid of what is happening. Get yours while you can Marengo Guns hope its worth it to you. I will not be back! there is absolutely no customer service anyway. Worst gun store I have been to in years

After many years and thousands of dollars spent it’s depressing coming here now. Most employees jumped ship across town to D5. Store layout has drastically changed and inventory is probably 25% what it used to be. I understand the current times we live in are the biggest culprit. I can’t blame the store entirely. However, with the bare shelves I’d think they’d want more inventory. I was offered $300.00 for a like new Beretta PX4 storm 45acp with 7 mags total after D5 offered $425.00. Needless to say I went back to D5. I can also verify from past experiences they would NEVER answer the phone. I stopped in today to use up a gift card previously received. I did actually see an employee answering the phone so maybe this has changed. Hopefully things normalize soon and this place returns to what it used to be.

I went in about 3 weeks ago, I usually like to go to check out used guns and have bought 2 used from here in the past. Their display inventory used to be hundreds now I bet there's 50 total in the entire store. Bummer. Also if you do buy used here make sure you buy PLENTY of cleaning supplies, both guns I bought were FILTHY like they had never been cleaned. I still like the place, but can't understand why they wouldn't run a swab through the barrel for customer service sake. With 6 people behind the counter and a full time gunsmith id expect a higher standard for used guns.

Tried to sell 2 1911s today. One was mint and retails new for $1,600, the other in fair condition and retails new for $600. They offered me $275 for the better gun and $325 for the trash. They couldn’t even figure out how to clear and perform an operational check without my assistance. Offered me $5 per box for new factory ammo. Same ammo was on their table for $50 per box. Nuff said. I’ve spent a ton of money in this place over the course of many years. I’m done.
