Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View

I spent a number of days in Encompass Rehab after falling 3 times. I can’t express adequately how appreciative I am for all the PT, OT, Nursing staff and Doctors. Dietary has a large number of menu choices. I now have Encompass seeing me daily at home. Great organization!

This place was phenomenal. My 97 yr old Grandmother who still lives alone independently sudden ln y could no longer get out of bed to the toilet etc.nMy cousin informed me her Father had recently been in that condition and just with their phone health physical therapy alone was in 4 weeks time now walking without a walker so I called Encompass inpatient they were able to get Medicare to approve a 2week inpatient stay without any hospital stay beforehand and from moment we got there until we left it was first class service. The patient to nursing care ration is very small so she never was left waiting for anything. The food was fantastic and she's very picky because she herself is a great cook. M her doctor Dr. Campbell by far was one of the best physicians I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. In 2 weeks time she was walking alone on a walker down the hall and back showering and going to the toilet all independently. My Grandmother loved it so much she was hoping they offered some type of assisted living she said she would have loved to stay there forever. Upon her release she was given therapists for home health and they have continued to rehabilitate her beyond our wildest drea.s.nI have dealt with many rehabs in the past with my Grandfather there is nothing in DFW that measures up to this place. I highly recommend Encompass inpatient and outpatient home health.nAngela Arnn

My husband found his stay unpleasant; more geared to more older patiences

It was very difficult to have to be in a rehab facility at age 40. But I had a bad spinal cord injury that caused me to become paraplegic. After emergency surgery and a lengthy icu stay i was eventually sent to Encompass for rehab. I just wanted to be home with my 4 children. But I was treated so well here. The Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dr’s, nurses and patient care techs were all among the best I had ever worked with.nI’ll never forget when I got to ring the bell that signals the completion of therapy. I was actually able to walk out of the facility and begin home health care. Where I was surrounded by my husband and 4 kids.nIt was a very emotional and uncertain time for me. We didn’t know for sure it I would ever walk again. The staff became like family to me. I’ll never forget them or my stay there.

I was admitted here for about 3 days. I had to have i.v. antibiotics that could not be administered under home health care. From the time I was wheeled in, to my short stay. To my discharge, was an exceptional experiance. Everyone was great. The bedside manner of the nurses to the food provided to me everyday i was there. It was good and really good quality meals. My shower was newly remodeled and clean.nTake a bow. I would love to say names. But for privacy ethics, I will save that if I email the administrator or corporate office.
