I loved every single nurse and doctor that helped with my delivery. They truly care about their patients. They took exceptionally good care of me, my son, and my husband.

Horrible your best to go to hillcrest hospital the Doctor here in saint Francis don’t care about you or if you are in active labor or not they don’t give any care especially if you are Mexican I’m currently here and they keep sending me home I’m at a 4 and nothing they say I’m faking and won’t help me at all my OB sent me here because I’m at 4 and they sent me home .... so best to not come here go to saint johns or hillcrest they are better at helping you out !!!

I had a wonderful experience with the labour and delivery staff at St. Francis Main in Tulsa. I originally planned a home birth with a midwife, but at 41 weeks + 3 days, I had a biophysical ultrasound and my midwife sent me straight to the hospital (she was the one that suggested I go to St. Francis). So, we left immediately with hardly anything in our bags, my water birth pool and all my supplies still unopened. Upon arrival to the hospital, I was immediately taken up to L&D to have baby monitored. Things appeared to look normal again, so we we’re moving towards going home. The doctor just wanted further confirmation of baby’s wellbeing before letting us go, so we had a second biophysical ultrasound at hospital. Things were still not adding up, so they scheduled induction for that day. I cried a little over my failed attempt to have an all natural home birth experience. The nurses there were very kind and asked me about my birth plan, they advised that they would do everything that they could to still give me the delivery experience I wanted. I let them know that I really didn’t want to do pain medication or a block of any kind, including an epidural. I also requested to be able to move freely about as I labour and not deliver on my back, Dr. Chinnery smiled and immediately said, “I’m okay with that”. Because, we were there to make sure baby was monitored, I had limited range but could still stand and move around on one side of the bed. They even brought me an exercise ball like the one I had at home, so I could be more comfortable during contractions. Unfortunately, my movement made it extremely hard to monitor baby’s heart rate, so the poor nurses had to constantly come in and readjust the monitors, which they did without complaint! Once I hit active labour, I started chanting to myself, “I can do anything for a minute, just for a minute” and playing some of my hypnobirthing music, which my nurse, Emily, picked up on and really helped encourage me to stick to my plan. Near the end of labour, I was spent and starting to reconsider my “no pain meds” plan. That’s when Emily reminded me that I was almost done and that I could do it without any pain meds, she repeated back my chant, “you can do anything for a minute, just for a minute”. At that point they rechecked again and I was only at an 8! And I had asked to be unhooked for a minute to run to the restroom as I thought it would likely be another 2-4 hours before I could deliver, they unhooked and gave me a few minutes to myself...at which point, I realized my baby was coming!!! I yelled it to my husband and he quickly told the nurses, within seconds my room was filled with all the delivery personnel... the first person to me was the nurse, Emily, who had immediately jumped in to help hold the baby, as I was in total shock that she came so quickly! They were all so very sweet and kind, it ended up being a very positive experience!

My wife and I had our child here in November just before Thanksgiving. The staff and facilities were amazing! I've never been around a group of nurses that were so kind and good at their jobs. They took excellent care of us while we were here. Honestly, the nurses were incredibly supportive and helpful. We couldn't have asked for any better staff and I honestly can't think of a single criticism.nnThe room and facilities were very large which was nice since we had a lot of family visiting us. Everything was kept very clean which is much appreciated. If I had one complaint, it would be that the furniture for the husband and company wasn't awesome, but it was sufficient.
