Sandhills Emergency Physicians

I thought maybe it was a mistake. A bill by accident, an accounting error, a glitch. No... It would appear that everyone else has had this happen to them as well. It's pretty obvious what's going on here. Used my insurance, paid half on the spot, paid other half in 6 installments. Now I'm getting a bill from a collection agency 6 months later claiming that they represent SEP & I owe them $747. I won't say what's really on my mind since this is a Google review. Just know that it doesn't really matter what you do, you will end up getting charged more one way or another. What a joke.

Received a surprise bill from here as my son was seen in an in-network ER by one of their physicians. Unfortunately, they don't contract with my insurance though it is a large insurance network, so they can balance bill consumers for the entire charge (not normal allowable amounts). When I called to ask about negotiating to what they would have received from Medicare or normal insurances, they refused, sticking us with entire bill. Life is hard enough, and for a physician's group to financially prey on patients is absolutely wrong.
