I came to the E.R. multiple times about chest pain but this time I had a pain in my abdomen to cause it to be painful eating and drink. I told the doctor I was barely have bile and within a week I might ate 3-4 times. They checked my blood and gave me pain medicine. It didnt work. I could have gone without the pain medicine because it didnt help me anyway. My problem is I felt the same way I did leaving out with no explanation and the NURSE and DOCTOR was rude. Its emergency if you cant eat, drink, and chest pains!! They was not concern because I felt like evaluation, ultrasound, could fixed my problem instead of sending me home not being able to eat or drink and in pain!!! I was so hurt because if doctors and nurses dont care than they shouldn't been there! If I was family they would have got to the bottom of it and if I find it is more serious like I think. Im getting a lawyer!!!

My wife was transferred to NMMC ER, via Ambulance, Tuesday night, June 30, with what we thought might be a light stroke. Only one person can be in the ER room with a patient right now, so our daughter, who is an NP, went back with her. Our 13 year old grand daughter was with us, so she and I sat down in the lobby, wearing our mask, 50 feet away from anyone. It was around midnight. The security guard working the ER that night, instead of walking over to where we were sitting, made a finger motion for me to come to where he was. We, not knowing, and wasn’t told the rules of the day, for the ER lobby, was told by this gentleman (loosely used), very loud and rudely, we couldn’t stay in there, still not explaining any rules. I told him my wife had just arrived by ambulance and we were waiting to find out what was going on with her, he again rudely said, well you can’t stay in here, with no compassion in his tone. Being frustrated, I asked, what are we supposed to do, and he simply said, you can just wait outside with the rest of us. In my opinion, he is definitely not as assert to NMMC. If you would like to contact me, I can give you a good description of him, and maybe using payroll records, we can figure out his name. I mentioned this incident to our RN later that night, and, based on what he had heard from other family members at different times, he described the person to me, and said he’d heard a good many complaints. I can share this information with anyone who is interested, and it will definitely affect my option of which Health Care facility I intend to use in the future. If you’re gonna work in healthcare, you should be kind. If you can’t be kind, find something else to do!!!
