Very disappointed. Made reservations a week in advance they never said one thing about the river was flooding the park so 1000 acres park was not gonna be accessible. With the park flooded there’s nowhere to ride but a couple trails. Pulled into camper spot n had nails all over from where someone had been burning boards with nails. Went to front desk to get another site and only thing front desk was worried about is $. Said if I get a sewer site it would cost more. I told her I don’t need sewer I just need a spot that don’t have nails. Woman had no people and business skills. People spend a lot of money to come to these places to bring their family’s for the weekend.I never once while I was there seen anyone to come down to clean nails up so it would not happen to the next customer. You should be honest with people and let people know the park is flooded before they like me drive 4 hours to get there. If she would have told me one phone that park was flooded I would have went to another park but would have saved this park for another date. I will never know now what this park is like because I will never come back. Very very disappointing. Thank You Wild Country for a great Easter weekend
Call before you go, they do not share with you if the river is up, which means there isn’t that many trails to ride, which gets boring quick, probably after 30 minutes we were bored of this place. If the river is up a lot of there trials are flooded, so you will be riding in circles a lot. A pile of nails was left in our camping spot, which we ran over, my husband told the front desk lady and she wasn’t very apologetic about it, just worried about if she gave us another spot, if that new spot would have sewer or not. Beer cans & trash thrown all down the trials. Park isn’t kept up very well, we actually left a day early because we was tired of it.
This place is great for ATV's. They could use more trails that don't have water covering them but over all if I want to go ride, this is where I go. The times I've gone, there was only a hand full of people. Staff is very friendly, and I love the restaurant on site, they have good food. If you see a puddle assume it is like 8ft deep, don't just go through thinking small puddle.nnOnly complaint is people throw their beer cans out like crazy. Not the parks fault, but the side of trails and roads are littered with tons of beer cans.
Always a good time. Always good concerts . Good riding , a lot of good spots to play in . Bathrooms are nice and kept up well. There's a restaraunt on property. Security is always present . A few beaches off the river trail .
We had a great time at the 4th annual Muddy Bug Bash! Lots of riding and good trails. We ate at the restaurant and the food was really good. My only complaints (and the reason for 4 stars) was 1. When I called to make reservations for our camper, there were no spots so we had to stay in the primitive section (which was not a big deal) but when we went in to the area, it was very thick sand and luckily we had a 4wheel drive truck - otherwise we would have gotten stuck. A guy that came in the morning after we got there, he did get stuck, sunk down to his bumper and had to be pulled out - No mud or wet ground, just sand only. The 2nd thing is the first morning we got up and went to the bathhouse for showers - The door was wide open and it was COLD in there. I closed the door, turned the shower on, it got really hot, I got lathered up good and the water went completely cold - I had to finish with cold water in a freezing cold bath house. While I was in the shower, someone had obviously came in and propped the door back open (my husband said it was the lady from the front gate because he saw her). My husband wasn't even able to get a shower because his water never got hot. When we got back to the camper, I called the front gate and told them, they said they would send someone over to look at it but we didn't' use the bathroom again after that so Idk if it was fixed or not. Those are the only 2 complaints I had. But we had a great time and will plan to go back
