If you want someone who values life to care for you, avoid Samantha Landry like the plague

Sat there for 6+ hours for X-ray results. Still didn’t get them!

This place doesn’t deserve such bad reviews. When I came here due to pneumonia complications, the doctors were there next to me to make sure I was doing well. They have excellent bedside manner and we’re trying their best. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it. When a older friend was having a child, Mrs. Rose Kennedy was there every second of her c-section, she was there every second of her surgery. No complications at all. A healthy child and a healthy mother. Food is great and rooms are spacious whenever complications arise. Thanks for listening to my experience!

Horrible! Had to take my brother here because he got hurt on the job. Waited 7 hours and they still didn't really help him. He had a blood and urine test at 3 and by 7:30 he still didn't hear anything from them. They are extremely incompetent and inconsiderate. They didn't even fax his paperwork to the clinic they were supposed to so he could get further treatment. It seems like the doctors and nurses only care about the titles and money! The hospital wasn't always this bad it got like this after it was bought by Ochsner.

My grandfather passed at Lafayette General about a week ago. His primary team was compassionate and thoughtful, but we did have some issues.nnFirst, my grandfather was struggling with cognition issues and needed to be restrained on a 72 hour hold. During this time he was to have no contact with my grandmother (per the doctor), but the tech in his room called my grandmother multiple times despite being told not to. The tech also apparently led him to believe he would be going home, but that was never a consideration. I perceive this to be cruel (and so do the professionals involved.)nnSecond, when his personal belongings were sent home to us they included the restraints used in the hospital. You can image the deep trauma that my grandmother endured as a result of pulling those out of the hospital bag in her home. This was the first time she cried, and she was completely inconsolable. I perceive this also to be cruel (and so do the professionals involved.)nnWatching my grandmother go through this was hard enough without Lafayette General causing such great emotional harm. We have tried calling the hospital many times to complain, but unfortunately we are only ever sent to voicemail.nnI will update this review as the situation transpires, but know that sending your loved ones to this hospital may cause you and your family harm during your most vulnerable moments.
