Ochsner Health Center - Zachary

I have had great experiences with the very friendly and helpful staff at the Zachary clinic. Dr Nyirenda is AMAZING!! She is mine and my husbands new primary care provider and we both love her!

Mrs. Whitney and her staff were great! They made me feel so comfortable and were so sweet!!

Dr. Brignac is a wonderful doctor. She is thorough in her exam, is very knowledgeable about medications and vaccines, and has an amazing bedside manner. She deserves an award for being the most amazing doctor I've seen yet. Her nurse is also extremely thorough and friendly. She demonstrated proper sanitization and hand washing, and was thorough about my medical history and medications. I am very pleased and will continue seeing Dr. Brignac for all of my healthcare needs.

This was my first visit to Zachary Ochsner and the actual office I was looking for was hard to fine so I was a little (10min) late. I was told by the appointment desk that their new rule that day was they won't take patients that are late and I would have to reschedule. I had already arrived. I don't live in Zachary and it is far from where I live. This last minute policy is unprofessional. However the receptionist checked me in anyway (Thanks btw). I had to ask if they did testing for STI and gave birth control because the last doctor I went to at the Gove that same day NP OBGYN Molly E McRae told me she would not test me for any STI and would only do a Pap smear bc something about lab testing doing Covid testing first and were not testing anything else. This was not correct however because Dr. Lewis did send in testing in for me as well as sent other STD testing in last month for me. I don't understand why McRae NP would flat out refuse to do the test and would not prescribe me birth control. McRae also cancelled my appointment after I had already got there and was sitting undressed in the exam room because she apparently could not give me the adequate health care I needed. It was a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience to have McRae waste my time and tell me she wouldn't test me for STD and then have another Ochsner OBGYN DR. Lewis test me on the same day. All the Ochsner locations uses the same lab testing services I was told so Idk how one doctor can do the test but another one couldn't. When I explain this to both the ENT Dr I saw that same day and the nurse at Dr Lewis office they were shocked that McRae would not perform the test as well. I felt I was flat out refused proper health care from NP McRae and that perhaps she didn't even have the proper access to my patients information. She didn't even know that I had already had a Pap smear this year by Dr. Lewis and was already checked for other STI last month. Because she said she didn't see it in the records. This was a very uncomfortable experience that no woman seeking sexual health care should ever receive. Thanks to Dr. Lydia Lewis (Zachary) for doing her job and providing me with adequate health care.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the doctor. Office and environment looked clean.
