Fresenius Medical Care at Promise Hospital Shreveport

This place is horrible I wouldn’t recommend no body sending their loved ones here! Poorly ran! doctors don’t even give the right medications to their patients! They don’t even change the IV bags and get them fresh ones this place needs to be closed down!

This is a great place 4 geriatrics and group therapy.

My mother was sent here after a brief stay in hospital. She was taken off her regular medication by the doctors on staff without checking into her medical history. The medication she was switched to was a medication she was allergic to. The Staff is abusive to their patients and keeps them drugged their entire stay. They say their doing rehab, however my mother never had any rehab. The staff had her scared to tell family what was going on, told her they would lock her in a room if she told and would not let her go to restroom, threatened her with a catheter, if she continued to ask. When I arrived to take her out of that place, my cell phone was taken immediately. I was advised I could not have my cell phone, stating private issues was the reason for it, yet the nurse aid, never put hers down the entire hour it took for me to get my mother discharged. When my mother arrived, she arrived with her own personal wheelchair, yet this place misplaced it, later we discovered it was given to another patient and we could not get it back. Upon discharge the Nurse and Doctor refused to give me her medication or even the list of medication they put her on, because I was having her discharged against their medical advice.nSince my mother has been home and to see her own doctor, she was put back on her original medications and is doing great again.nThis rehab needs to be under state review for abuse of the elderly.

Very poor service and care to patients. They need to close this location.
