It was horrible. Just thinking about this place gives me a panic attack. The nurses were just there for a paycheck they told us that themselves. Told us to just shut up cause they don’t want to be there either. There was an exception for a few nurses who I will never forget. Dr.Feeny was horrible. Didn’t listen to me the whole time I was in there. Didn’t call my parent to talk to them or ask permission to drug me up with medicines that made me really sick. One of the nicer nurses even told me think about the good things and don’t cry make friends and pretend ur happy if u cry they won’t ever let you out. I am not even suicidal I was just having some trouble with my family and needed to go somewhere for a few days but they help me for a week claiming I was homicidal because I threw something at my sister. We were told to go to sleep or we would get a shot that put us to sleep. I would never recommend this to anyone . Not to mention they took things and didn’t give them back. they showed favorites with phone time and what they would let slide .Allowed one girl to be bullied to the point I’m sure she was worse off when she left than when she came in. This place is a sad excuse for a hospital and I pray for the day someone goes in there and sees that so they will be shut down.
It was absolutely terrible they only gave us like 30-45 minutes of group therapy and the woman who did it with us was stuck up and rude. I do have to give credit to one woman, Mrs Quinn in the adolescent unit. She was so sweet and I think she’s the only one who genuinely cares and isn’t in it just for the money. Also half of the day they make us stay in a little room which is depressing and boring because the only source of entertainment that they give us is a coloring book. Also not to mention the phone time you would think since we spent most of our day in this room they would give us time to call our parents but no they wait till like 7 and only let us call till 9 which means we only get around 5 minutes on the phone each. Honestly you would be better off getting on anti depressents and going to a therapist.
I loved it there. Dr.Yosefgi helped me alot. I would like to talk to her again one day soon. You know, holidays and all.
My experience with the Nurses and Techs were great. I was in the women's tower just released today. The nurses Ms Carla, Ms Kim and Ms Alex were great they treated us great and actually got to know us. The Techs Savannah and Sarah were great toonnow the doctors... well... when they have weekend duty your lucky when your called back to have a full min in the office with her it reminded me of herding cattle thru. You do not feel that you matter at all you are most certainly a number or a folder.nI have had far better experience with other doctors.nnThere seemed to be a big miscommunication with some patients this NOT a place where you receive one on one therapy or one on one anything so if your looking for that Brent wood is not for you .nnAll in all straight to the point the nurses really know what is going on the doctors do not.nMy tip is to bring ear plugs with you for your roommate snoring is a real thing when it comes to sleep.
I got out of Brentwood last saturday, the staff was rude with the exception of Ms. Tessi, Ms.Jennifer, and Ms. Haylee (girls adolescence unit) one of the staff yelled at my friend and pushed her off a chair swearing at her. The other workers acted like they didn't wanna be there. the food was gross, the bread always soggy, they were very slow at doing things, i got there and I had to wait 2 days in a hospital gown from the ER to get my clothes, while other admits that got there the same day as me, already had their clothes. The staff was very disrespectful, one of the staff members Ms. Claudia fought with us teens more than doing her job. She gave my friends ticks because of her yelling. She also told one of my friends to go cry herself to sleep. A lot of us wanted to report her but I got out the day i wanted to so there was no point. One of the nights i was there, I didn't get my night time medicines. They said i didn't have night time meds, but i knew for a fact i did. I went to treatment in 3 other hospitals, in comparison, this hospital was the worst. Overall the staff, with the exception of the 3 i earlier acknowledged was very rude, disrespectful, childish, slow, and lazy.
