I have been shopping with Athens Seed regularly since they came to Watkinsville about 25 years ago. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable concerning wildlife feed, gardening needs and general agricultural needs. If they don't have it you probably don't need it! The faces have changed but the quality has not. Nobody has as wide a variety of seed near here.
Very fast transaction, knowledgeable staff found exactly what we needed just by us describing what we wanted as an end product. Highly recommended!
One of the best lawn / garden / farm stores in this part of the state and kind of a best-kept secret among the locals. It has oddball feeds and birdseed you'll never see anywhere else, like 50# bags of white proso millet. What Mickey D's french fries are to human children, that's what millet is to chickens. They like it 10x more than cracked corn, scratch feed, even mealworms, and this place has it for the best price per lb. I like to have it to give my backyard flock a fun treat; it does not replace feed.nBuy any pet food or feed from them that weighs more than 20 lbs or so and they will LEAP to load it for you, too. They don't ask, they just DO IT.nThis place also has the best local selection of lawn & garden chemicals, forestry & ag herbicides, specialty tools for same, that sort of thing.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. More options for food plot seeds in stock than I've ever seen and good prices. I will definitely be back for other garden seeds and animal feeds also.
